The police officers actions were irresponsilble.
Their negligent acts cost and innocent man his life.
Some sort of disciplinary action must be taken immediately
to avoid any reccurence of such magnitude.

the difference is that that murder in the states , has a MUCH higher chance of bieng caught, and if caught doesn't have a castrated justice system to go through , and he won't have as many 'friends' in high places as ours do here.

And that murderer might be insane... while the thief is just out of a job.

If a crime is committed an it is not in their juristriction they are not obligated to respond
or pursue that crime. However, the took an oath to protect and serve and even though it
may not be in their juristiction they still have a reponsibility to protect the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago

Well, the point is that crap happens everywhere.

And as for your comment that in the US they do get caught... no. Halliburton got busted for fraud, and had to pay money. The Halliburton head at the time the fraud took place is the current US VP.

The Enron people were very tight with Bush.

That stuff happens in the US too. Ask any New Yorker about Abner Louima or Diallo. Police crap happens there too. Read "Serpico", by Peter Maas. Police corruption iymc.

Trinidad and Tobago is not unique in this. It's bad. No doubt. We have to work to make it better. Other places have it worse, some have it better.

If it's drugs or something is probably dey partners kil the man, and this was just their "excuse"(a poor one at that)for not helping.
