THe Matrix Trilogy thread
« Reply #60 on: August 20, 2004, 04:58:53 PM »
Hi, my name is nytemare (no, not really) anyways, I tried to start and official matrix thread but I got into with a mod and he locked me down so I had to resort to this. Anyways im trying to see some real opinions on the trilogy, so lets start with Sati’s purpose. What is it? And why, you must bring evidence to support your claims. Think wisely
And as I sat down on the couch, reached down and grabbed the controller, I most nonchalantly looked over, barely gracing him with my eyes. I uttered calmly these simple and truthful words. \"Spread ur cheeks and bite down, cause now you are F*@%ED!\"

after catching up on 3 pages of posting, i have a little to say... lol

shivadee started the thread to have matrix questions answered, she ended up answering a whole heap of em! nonetheless her 'obsession' and study of the matrix is outright sexy
it looks like i will have to do what i have been putting off for the longest while, looking over the entire trilogy for meaning... *sigh* because, as it seems, my open mindedness of 2 and 3 being *good* movies died early in part 2.
M1 inspired me a lot as a buddhist -- heck the W brothers (and warner bros as well :P) may not have experienced even 1% of the supernatural stuff that i have, but the similarities between M1 and my general beliefs and philosophies left me at the cinema wondering "i always felt it was this way, now ive seen it on TV... christ, does it make it more concrete or not?!?" M2 and M3 did not let me leave the cinema with such warm, fuzzy feelings. i especially wanted my money back when i saw M2...
little things like MOBIL in the train station made me appreciate M3 and then in the end, when they played that mantra i was like BWTMC??? i felt a dose of inspiration again like: "man... i used to say that 108 times every morning... why did i stop doing that???"

so count on it, i will be back, shining some zen on the matrix thread... SATI first...

as they said the 'one' is a mathematically anomoly , during the course of the matrix they go throught billions upon billions, maybe even trillions . My theory is that every few billion people ONE of them is born special.. with the ability to read and rewrite the core of the matrix at will . The 'path of the one' was an attempt  to control this anomoly in the only way it can be controled.. by giving it a choice : either choose people to form the new zion ... and put yourself back under control.. or rebel.. and let zion and all of humanity die .
The life of every one lead it to have a certain affinity for humanity , and so the first 5 one's choose the path of a new zion. But in Neos case his affinity for humanity was focused on TRINITY and so he choose the path of rebellion .
The Architect could not forsee everything in play .. namely the Smiths taking over the matrix . It was probably smiths control over the matrix that prevented its threatened destruction..... or the destruction of the matrix due to the second choice was a LIE .
the theory of a matrix within a matrix can apply to this.... or the same 'anomoly' that made NEO the one endowned his with  some sort of semi-magical power to control machines outside the matrix .

the matrix was a GREAT movie! it fed the typical masculine need for violence blood and female breasts AND the intellectual part of us .

i well say somebody come to talk about SATI and give some deep meaningful insight into to the movie

meaningless insults IMMC :(

1) give a recap of the matrix
its nice to know my version is the 'official' standard . :D .
All i see in this thread is people asking questions that have already been answered in the movie eg. who created the oracle .

what about smiths mentioning of a perfect world without pain : where everyone was happy in the first movie? was that world one of the 6 matrices?  or were there previous 'experimental ' stages of the matrix? Were the smiths part of ever version of the matrix or were they original to the  6th ?? in the game there were several machine 'entities' that lurked around like the old sewer man , the merovingians people etc. Do they have a part in the greater story ? or are they just along for the ride ?

since no one can take me on, i will bring it to you.

Sati is going to be the upgrade to the Oracle. my evidence supporting this comes in forms of direct dialogue and symbolism.

The first reason is

1) The Oracle was teaching Sati how to make cookies, I believe she was passing on or sharing coding with her. teaching her the way of the Oracle. Remember the Matrix is a simulation of reality and they are all programmed to act like humans. When your grandma teaches you to quilt or to cook, what is she doing? shes passing on knowledge to you.

2) The Oracle went through alot to get Sati into the Matirix. She died for Sati. Rama Kandra and Kamalah (Sati's parents) sold the Oracle's TERMINATION code to Merovingian in exchange for a ride on the train to get Sati into the Matrix. Rama Kandra is the POWER PLANT's SYSTEMS MANAGER for RECYCLING OPERATIONS. therefore he knows the Oracle's TERMINATION code.

3) Kamalah is INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE CREATIVE PROGRAMMER, according to Rama Kandra "She is highly creative"

4) Sati is the result of two programs from 01(MAchine city a.k.a THE REAL WORLD) reproducing, which would be unheard of. this alone proves that she is meant to be something great.

3*) Remember the "Mother" who we believe to be the Oracle is an intuitive program, designed to understand the psyche of the humans.

So thats it folks, talk amongst yourselves.

P.S I also have undisputable proof that Seraph is a the One previous to Neo.

Seraph was a machine . People keep forgetting that many of the characters were MACHINES . And people also keep forgetting about that HUMANS don't live for hundreds of years... especially when they are being used for energy .
The time between the previous and present versions of the matrix AND the coming of 'the one' would come up to hundreds of years by itself... the old one would be very DEAD .

it may be possible that some aspects of the previous one were integrated into Seraph to make him a better warrior, we saw that human/machine code can be swapped back and forth as proved by the Smiths.

Alright superman, lets go. this is the proof that Seraph is a previous ONE. Neo gets the call that The Oracle needs to see him. He goes through china town (which happens to be laoded with religous material) and he gets to Seraph, they fight, with neither landing a sucessful hit, but rather canceling out each other.

SERAPH
"The Oracle has many enemies. Ihad to be sure."

NEO
"Of what?"

SERAPH
"That you are the ONE."

NEO
"You could have just asked."

SERAPH
"No, you do not truly know someONE until you fight them. She's waiting."

So this is my point, even when Smith fought Neo in the first movie, he didn't know that Neo was the ONE. But Seraph can tell? I wonder how?  (Rethorical)

2) When Seraph, Morpheus, and Trininty went to the Hel Club to find out how to get Neo back and the bouncers saw Seraph one of them uttered "Its wingless"

now this can be taken in two ways. a) He's no longer the one so he lost his gift of flight
B) it has to do with his name. In Christian faith a SERAPHIM is the HIGHEST order of angels. since he failed as the ONE he is a fallen Angel and not the messiah.

3) When they caught the Merovingian's attention he refered to Seraph
MEROVINGIAN
"Ahhh... The 'PRODIGAL' child returns"

4) When Smith cornered Seraph and Sati in the apt just before Smith recoded the Oracle Seraph told Smith

SERAPH
"I have beaten you before"

who can tell me who else but the ONE can defeat and agent? (once again RETHORICAL)

that should be enough, oh and to get to what you said, I understand what you are saying but you must remember when Seraph got to the Architect and he was given 'choice' he chose the door to his right which was to save ZION, he then moved on to the source and his code was returned to the system which then lead to the Matrix being rebooted and hence Neo is born. the Key part is, he returned to the Matrix and his Code was returned, which explains why he is simply a PROGRAM now.

peace to the God

And all this time i thought seraph was just a program helping out the oracle and serving to ward off potential intruders.

I'm interested to hear some theories on the "gold code".
who's game?
I have no specific meaning for what the code actually is but my theory is that it actually isn't a code. OR even if it is, it may simply be "firmware".

But i really think that this is the energy or "life-force" of the machines. Neo can obviously understand it because his power goes all the way back to the source (Deus Ex Machina/God MAchine).

The real proof of Neo being able to talk to them doesn't really reside in the final scene of reloaded where he shut them down "telepathicaly" but actually in the scene is Revolutions where he and Trinity were in the Logos. Its when "merged" with the sentinel and he apparently read that their weakness was to draw them away from the earth. Directly after he absorbed it he told Trinity to go above the clouds which was the weakness of the sentinels.

This also leads to the argument of whether Neo is alive or not.
He must be alive, even when he was being taken off by the garbage machine (yes, that is what the guy who came up with it refered to it as) his code was brighter than ever. and as we can see Seraph is still alive so the One lives on as his code is needed to reboot the Matrix.

I was reading an old post by someone a couple pages back on the wardrobe of the 'exiles'. I don't really have an opinion on this because this was one aspect of the movies that was clearly ignored or over looked by the commercial direction the last installments took. The first movie is dark and grundgy while the second two were bright and fancy, driving on the freeway in a cadilac (even tho it was stolen). the overall look of the second two didn't adhere to the first, so there is no symbolism to the look this time. but to clear something up. Cops wear sunglasses to avoid you seeing their eyes or making eye contact. it does not denote power but it helps them remain "emotionless" to you. it's all about the psyche. ever wonder why the airport is filled with so much glass. and so many long stretches with glass on both sides, its because they are watching everyone from behind that glass, reading body language. when you go to the embassy for your "interveiw" they could careless what you are really saying, they are busy reading your body language. thats why police wear sunglasses. to avoid eye contact, so you wont be able to call their "bluff" so to speak.

Is there a possibility that when Seraph was called the prodigal son that Merovingian was implying that Seraph had been in his service sometime before? I still don't think Seraph was previously  a ONE. The link in the Matrix movies to mythology and religious text is quite interesting. Where's Shivadee in all of this lol

I (Deus Ex Machina/God MAchine).

.

Deus Ex machina means God FROM the machine : it is used  (mainly for stories ) to describe something completely unexpected that saves a character/place/thing or an end to a story eg. The Village .  God machine is just plain Deus Machina  .

It is quite possible that Seraph has some aspects of a previous ONE in him... it is quite possible that ONE program can conquer another  : Smith conuqered the other Agents .  and also Seraph  is probably related  for Seraphim : one of the orders of the angels , so his name MIGHT mean  wingless angel .
Seraph may have just worked for the Merovingian before , maybe as his right hand man  so he is called the 'prodigal' son  . The merovingians wife mentioned in 2 that he kept around old programs from previous versions of the matrix .

A seraphim is the first of the nine order of angels. they are also of the highest rank. Smith conquered other agents after the system made him Neo's equal which goes back to what i said. Only the One can terminate an agent in straight combat. I think that you are going a bit far by actually giving a meaning to the name by saying it may mean wingless angel. If they were to name the character Seraphim, don't you think that would have been a little 'in-your-face' a little too obvious. No one is sure of Seraph's ties with the Merovingian, it was not explained and only alluded at when the Merovingian called him a Judas. so that is still to be interpreted, but even if he did, would that have denied him being the One?
I don't see how that has any relevence.

Oh and Persephone was referring to the vampire programs, a couple were in the room that she carried Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity into. He kept them around becase "they are notoriously hard to terminate. Who carries around silver bullets in their gun?"

Yes, they are real vampires. She was most direct in her statement. it has nothing to do with Seraph.

Good argument tho

Peace to the GOD
