the game is AMAZING ! it uses a pile of shaders instead of textures, so you need a vid card that can handle them,  and lots of CPU power [ i gots none] but it IS a fully working, AMAZINGLY good looking 3d fps in 96 kb...
    this will be a GREAT benchmark for nu systems..

  If you payed more than 6000 for it, and it can't play .kkrieger... it suxxx.
 
if they use this technology for the Xbox 2, which should more than be able to handle it.

umm..

You NEED a video card that's capable of running DirectX9, and in addition to CPU, u needs some good memory available (it uses about 300MB of RAM when in execution)..so video wise, I'd recommend one of the newer Radeons (9200 and higher video cards) if you want to get decent play.

It's easy to get why it's so small though...it contains core instrtuctions with DirectX9, and lets the CPU/video card do all the work instead of storing data within files like how most convnetional games do....

There has the original creators of that 96K game, plus other demos of animation sequences and stuff that they did, many within 64K, and can run on older systems somewhat (some ran kinda ok on a Duron 750 with 128 MB ram and 32 MB shared video card).

Mobility Radion 9200... laggin like hell.... but i have to applaud the creaters of this... How do they do it!! I realise that they just use the Direct X codes and lets it load up... :banan:  :bowing:  :worship:  :razz2:  :clapr:

you need a video card with pixel shader 1.3+ .. thats a Geforce 4 TI, radeon 8500+ or geforce FX

Downloaded this a while back but completely forgot to install and try it out...will try it this weekend for sure.

The "official" minimum specs for .kkrieger: chapter 1 beta are:

A 1.5GHz pentium 3 / athlon or faster.
512MB of RAM.

they need 4-5 cds not to lag like .kkriegier does

and did anyone notice that krieger has like 3 sounds in total, 1 musical score , and that ALL the textures are basically the same?

.kkrieger don't lag here one bit.

The reason .kkrieger is so small is because they utilise the advanced features and raw power of DirectX and the hardware to do most of the work, hence, they have to code less. The downside is that the minimum requirements are fairly robust...

true.... there is only like 1 texture in the whole game, but they used SHADERS on top of it to make it look different.. and the shaders are fairly simple.. just a colour and some specular .. but because there are SO MUCH shaders shading all around..... u need all that ram and power
