Subject: {GATT-Tech} Mobile Monster #2: Dell 9100 (3358 3DMark2003)

Still reeling from the performance of my current mobile monster, today I
faced another, even more powerful beast.

 The Dell 9100 Laptop

One of our techie expats dropped down his ducats on this baby and all we
could say was "my word"

Power to the People.

The skinny

3.4Ghz
100GB Hard Drive
8x DVD Burner (+)
ATI 9700 (Yes, 9700 iymc)
4 USB2 Ports, Firewire, Bluetooth, IR
Gigabit, Wireless B and G.
Wide Screen

Just finished running 3dmark2003 on it.3358

A clear 700+ higher than my pet.

Impressive, most impressive.

if i had this laptop i would be sure and make the outside of it look as
crappy and old as possible
so no one would bother to steal it.

Still weak?

That is unprecedented performance for a laptop and surpasses most
desktops on this list I'm sure.

Dunno what cats, assume dx9b myself.

Stock Dell drivers. We didn't touch a thing.

Anyone with at least a radeon 9600 should be able to hit
~4000ish...~3500ish min even on a 'weak" desktop system.

Stock...now thats plain wrong!

Wait..3.4GHz? You sure?
