...Go into the registry and delete Typed Urls from the browser. No more being caught with naughty sites in the address bar for me!

And I did it by myself too! I cleaned the History, Cookies and Internet Files, as well as Temp Files (whoa, kill me dead I didn't have no porn on my machine), but they were still there. So I used SpyBot S&D, even though it was mostly legit sites in the URL bar. Spybot didn't uncover any spyware or spoogeware, but I recognised this entry here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerTypedUrls

Hmmm...HMMMMM...

Went into the registry and and deleted the undesirable URLs. No more tentacle po...Well yuh know what I mean.

MyIE2 has the same protocols as IE or what?

Might have to check out this Firefox thing alyuh raving about...or probably not.

It's nice...but I find it doh have the feel like MYIE2....

I actually saw someone use Netscape today......I promptly uninstalled it and showed dem the holy grail that is MYIE2...

I don't understand how the world functions with out it before nah...

Incidentally..this tab style of browsing if I remember correctly was first pioneered by Netscape as well...I think is was in that version of Netscape they came up with after Microsoft embedded the IE into the operating systems. Netscape coulding get the coding right and the Netscape browser was extremely bulky and slow...the GUI was inpressive at the time though. Had a nice soft and rounded edge finish to it. All these finishes was later incorporated into WindowXP...lol....and further polished using StyleXP ChangeXP and Windows Blinds...

hmm.go figure eh...

i find this akin to putting fancy paint, vinyl, spoiler, rims, manual
shift, hard pong in a B15 and not changing the engine.
sure it looks nice, but under all that...still an ordinary b15.
but b15 dont have security holes that enable haxors ot pwn it with a
script!!!

MYIE is IE...its just a "shell" that sits on top of the IE engine.

MyIE2 has the same protocols as IE or what?

Might have to check out this Firefox thing alyuh raving about...or probably not.

Ok I have not looked at Opera since I found MYIE. I will go look for it ad check it out.
  ---but---

MYIE did not require you to go get extra pluggins to open pages and I can't remember the last time I came across scripting errors as those in IE or not opening as in Firefox...WEAK FIREFOX....unimpressive IE

not that I am a Ship's Captain for things Microsoft or derivatives of it...but firefox is like sugar and water compared to the sweet Mauby with aniseed essence of MYIE2

MYIE installs a JAVA environment? Does it also include the latest
Flash/Director plug-ins? serious questions btw, because you're making it
sound like everything is included and you never have to download anything
once you install MYIE.

I know IE doesn't come with JAVA installed, so you need to download Sun's
java. What about all those Macromedia downloads you have to do with a fresh
IE install? MYIE includes all that in it's installation, or does it depend
on an already pumped up IE installation?

Cliff notes:
What would happen if you install MYIE on a FRESH XP install? Do you get
JAVA, Flash, Director, etc, or do you need to download them separately?

talk to the I.
