How many of you dislike having to spend half an hour building a base, an army, a defense force, to win a mission? how many of you are sick of laggy, bad looking RTS games?

Welcome to GROUND CONTROL II!!!!

No building, it employs a mech commander like system where you use "points" gained from doing objectives or killing enemies to call in reinforcements, the oject of the game is to hold strategic points , ie. high ground, buildings etc.

The graphics are nothing short of BEAUTIFUL!!!!! and it DOES NOT LAG !
the polygon count is higher than halo's, close up the models look like they came out of unreal 2! the pixel shader FX look like the ones in Half life 2 screenshots! There is ALOT of texture and bump mapping detail...

The story is nothing to match warcraft's , but it is better than most. The gameplay is SUPERB! THIS is the RTS game for 2004! it BLEEDS quality in its purest form out of EVERY orifice!

I have been drooling over this one for some months. Watching the trailer on EuroTV.

The demo is available on the nets , i dloaded it and took screenshots from it......

if it plays smooth @1024x768 with my 850mhz PIII and R8500, a machine with 2GHZ+ and a 9700 should be able to play it at 1600x1200 without any probs

[ the game enables 2xAA by default... NO LAG!]

the full game isn't out yet though.....

for anyone who liked SHattered galaxy, this game is very similar, though you can't modify your units....

the ground control II multiplayer demo is out.

it includes the single player missions of the previous demo... new models, textures and sprites, a few bug fixes, no lan play, only online play..

its not hard at all.... just remember the enemy is as smart as you [ smarter in some cases

] .. never leave a landing zone uncaptured.... take out all resistance..

the new demo allows u to use the dropship as a weapon.. upgrade the fuel and fire power and it can do some serious damage to formations, and take out base defenses EZ... thought it can only stay under your command for 40 seconds [ with upgrade ]
