How long will Naruto go on - calculation

right now there are 217 chapters and 85 episodes. the last episode ended with the end of chapter 148. therefore the average episode has about 1.74 chapters in it. If you count specials and so on the average can be decreased to 1.7 chapters per episode.

that means that at some time the episodes will be at the same point as the chapters (linear function). Thats why (x=number of weeks, with one chapter and one episode per week)

y=1.7 x +85 (episodes)
y=x + 217 (chapters)

x + 217 = 1.7x + 85 |-85 |-x

0.7x = 132 |/0.7

x = 188.57

So x is approximately 190.
Thats why I guess that there will be about 190 more chapters and naruto will end at about chapter 400-410.

Of course, if they rerun the series from some point on the entire calculation is utterly useless. But its still a cute little thought-experiment.

first thing appriximation nearst whole number = 189 episode
 till episodes catch up to with manga this mean in the end there be 274 episodes of naruto animated series so in all there should be 406 chapter of manga .
this doesn't mean that naruto will end there but it might 189 episodes is 189 weeks =3.63 year from this date

In rumour news tokyo tv the station that airs narut is suppose to have a excluive conract with the maker of  naruto anime for 250 episode  which is near the end of the predicted lenght so it all good for another  3.17 years at least

well judging from an anime like inuyusha which was close to the 130+ there is never really a limit. as long as ratings are good and the team is working they'll keep making episodes. God knows! how many pokemon episodes are there? digimon is looking at a fifth series. naruto is popular and they'll keep making episodes till someone pulls the plug. lets hope we dont get a rurouni kenshin fit again. i couldnt bare losing the series in the middle of a good plot.

i think dis was a half assed attempt to matnimatically calculate a number than cannot be calculated
thus i call this comment a lame joke intended on fooling the simpled minded
because with a story like naruto with no real real finite goal to achieve (except maybe naruto becoming hokage) the series can go on forever
i hate too say it but its the same with pokemon theres no real goal )except ash become a pokemaster) which is unlike say samuria jack who has to defeat aku end of story (except the show goes nowhere fast with little in the way of plot developement)
so naruto can go forever(i hope!)

Tv Tokyo has reportedly has the anime under contract for 250 episodes
now this has to be met and it can also be exceeded .
imo naruto (as far as it has reached in the manga) has now started and lots of stuff is there still to happen
its not going newhere anytime soon (yay!)
