I heard i while back that lucus arts and fox wre going to make live action dbz movie (too my horror) and that wesly snipes was cast as piccolo and it turned out to be true but then i heard it was cancled and that wetta(the people that made all the real stuff for lord of the rings) was making a live action evangellion movie !

anybody know wa going on here

I heard about the same thing but I only thought it was a rumor. And I also heard that Keanu Reeves playing Goku or something. Matrix man in DBZ. lol.

i really really hpoe these movies are not made because americans shold not do anime
English Dragonball/DBZ is a total joke and mockery of everything the Japanese version stood for. It is an incredible series and was a pioneer for any Anime of it's kind. To everyone who actually enjoys the English version-You are a fool. If you really care about the series see it in its original form-It is art. American Anime companies have been butchering incredible Anime for too long, and American DBZ is the posterchild of what NOT to do to an incredible Anime. Others that have followed in the incredibly edited and destroyed Anime line are Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Shaman King, Yu- Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, and many many MANY more. It HAS to stop. I love these Anime so much, and I'd sooner drive a rusty Halberd into my chest than to watch them be disgraced as such. Anyone agree with me?

the dbz live action movie was cancelled becuase fox don't have any rights to make they have to get right from funimation for it .
as for live action evangelion think it release date is in 2006 if i remember right wonder if they could make it a good movie so it won't suck also .

FINALLY........!!!!!!!

I would say that I agree with Sith...but since I've been preaching this exact same thing since I walked into gatt, then I'll say that Sith agrees with me. I'm not going to even delve into the stupidity/negligence of companies like FUNimation.

However, I will say this. Being the true fan that i am, if they were to make a DBZ live movie....yea...I'd go watch it....But it would SUCK LEVEL BALLS. Technology has come a long way since back in the day, however, to make someone like Reeves or Welling look like Goku?? It just AIN'T gonna happen.

However, I am a bit intrigued as to in the manner in which Fox will butcher Dragonball Z as opposed to FUNimation. Oh well.

i guess u didn't understand what i mean . Fox was asked if they doing dbz live acyion movie they said no becuase they ain't got rights to it epected rating of the dbz live action was suppose to be pg-13 material

you cannot be serious.......a live action dbz that is jus plain WRONG!!
i also agree with sith when he says that japanese anime are messed up by americans and to make a live action DBZ......
they will have to use a lot of hair gel for the hairstyles i see in dat show.....
