Age old match @MD vs. Int3l

So tell me considering the current state of both camps CPU Roadmaps, whose side are you on? And which camp do you think is heading in the right direction? I am Pro 64-Bit direction at least x86-64 as the none monopoly of the two are that is...

Intel sucks, them prices too damn high, once AMD has the better price performance ratio i with them.
Plus intel roadmad real screwing things up, new case (BTX), more heat  and more money

consider this :

there are no applications writen for 64 bit windows, so if u run the normal 32 bit programs they will run SLOWER...

Windows 64 will not be out anytime soon


buying into 64 bit  NOW is a waste of money, wait until you NEED it then the parts will be cheaper ..

i myself am buying into an AthlonXP or a P4.... its not worth it to jump into the 64 bit party yet....

All those who bought 64 bit cpus  before this month, with the beleif that there will be new mobos with PCI-x and the right socket, have been SCREWED BY THE EVIL RICH PPL!!!!!!

though intel HAS to move to something with more pins in order to cut down on heat and voltage issues.

i'd say AMD is in the lead right now.... but like ATI the competition may soon pull out something that can stand right next to the top of the line products...

Wow... someone doh believe in 64 bit goodness... last I checked there are TWO variants of linux that are 64-bit but thats just me.... I guess ppl who only use Windows wouldn't know about that... ALSO last I and MANY sites checked the 64-bit Athlons are faster at 32-bit operations than 1ntel, and one more thing... could someone explain why intel has to move to 1. New socket 2. new mobo form factor 3. Larger heatsinks 4. new more expensive RAM (yes they support DDR 1 still for mainstream) and lastly 5. Why would I want a 103W CPU in MY CASE? To BOIL water I suppose.... as for Win 64 we ALL know M1cros0ft Sleeping with Int3l so why do U think there is no 64 win Yet... or RATHER there is not a FULL release of Win-64 (Beta is out) and ONE more thing PCI-e (NOT X, PCI-X is a SERVER STANDARD PCI BUS) won't get fullstream usage till at least a year and who wants to buy tech that hasn't had a year to fully develop... talking bout no 64-bit OS and RICH PPL Currently AMD is the SMALLFRY not the RICH ppl, that aside Int3l is still better at media stuff... but hey 10 reasons to 1 why @MD is better is enough for me

the only reason not to buy 64 processors now is beause of PCI-E

I personally would by the 64 bit since it faster but i would hold on until the 64bit OS and PCI-X come out etc.that way my RAID 5 card wouldn't need a DP board to run fast.
