consider this : there are no applications writen for 64 bit windows, so if u run the normal 32 bit programs they will run SLOWER... Windows 64 will not be out anytime soon buying into 64 bit NOW is a waste of money, wait until you NEED it then the parts will be cheaper .. i myself am buying into an AthlonXP or a P4.... its not worth it to jump into the 64 bit party yet.... All those who bought 64 bit cpus before this month, with the beleif that there will be new mobos with PCI-x and the right socket, have been SCREWED BY THE EVIL RICH PPL!!!!!! though intel HAS to move to something with more pins in order to cut down on heat and voltage issues. i'd say AMD is in the lead right now.... but like ATI the competition may soon pull out something that can stand right next to the top of the line products...
