Ok lets see we could at least try this idea with the first ever GATT Newspaper. lol. Idk. Trying my best here. Or How about the first ever GATT Magazine if we don't have one already. lol. Still looking for a job as a Sweat Reporter. lol. Sweat Reporter for the Daily Bugle. haha.

hmm not a bad idea boy! and we can have submitted articles from all gatt members an thing! go have to talk to kayode an thing and find out how something like that goes about and how much it cost to setup and print and everything. how much for express and guardian now? perhaps we can sell it for 50cents a paper :). or maybe even more, heck you aint go mind paying a lil 5 dollars for a weekly paper with tons of info with guides an thing right ;)

no one said anything about how much its going to cost. its just people who say they wont mind paying 100 a year. we never said it WILL be 100 a year.

1000 members x $50.00=$50,000.00 a year............. it is not necessary to be as high as $100.00
Which is about $4,000.00 a month to spend on whatever !!!!!!!

I agree totally with the Gaming league that Larry suggested. And the suggestion about how we don't take sweats seriously are very true. Sweats are VERY underrated. Dem does go down REAL good. An sweat cheap too eh. For a whole night of gaming... but then again, we have 2 remember ppls have 2 go to skool an ting...

On the topic of the money thing. Come on ppls. Be realistic here. Who honestly goin an walk up to Baego an give him e.g. $50.? WE TRINI! We doh pay for nuttin. My mc was happy dis was free. I know the money is for a good cause an all, but i jus lookin at it realistically. And what about members who don't come regularly etc. I say scratch the money idea it won't come off the ground.

THe idea about the GATT newsletter, I'm very interested in this. IF alyuh organizing that seriously pm me!!!

And the idea about more sweat reporters is a very good idea. I think the easiest thing to do, is before the sweat start, someone should volunteer or be delegated to report the sweat or something. Post some sweats talk about the highlights etc. Because to have a 'sweat crew', ppl may not always be able to make it etc.

with master chief and ODST helljumpers
on the battlefield, you must learn in the battles that ended in victory or defeat...you must think about if those lives were either spent for a good cause or or wasted

Hmm I agree with the gamers league thing to an extent. A gaming league usually acts as a body for gamers who take games seriously, it more caters for "those professional gamers" ie regular tournament participants who keep up to date on what being played at the international level (sorry sof is out). Now I don't know if anyone has noticed, but tourney organization takes time and effort ( and on larger scale money)

Now as far as gatt goes, tourney organization has to be waaay better in order to reach the level of organization those gamers leagues usually require. Strict tourney rules should be drafted (and no exceptions for whiners who like to bitch) amd the gamers should become familiar with the rules from beforehand so when tourney time comes it should be smooth sailing. If its for casual gaming then let go of the rules.

The rules should take a format somewhat like the following

FPS - The official list of tourney maps , time limit ,game type , score limit , weapon restrictions , friendly fire on/off (it should be on),team size etc
Strategy - The official tourney maps , time limit , game type.
Fighting - Elimination rules, character select restrictions , time limit etc.

To the average gamer it might sound a little strict , but for those who wanna move beyond the level of average( or play games on a international level) its a step in the right direction.

I'd be more than willing to help in the organizing a "serious" tourney

I'd like some feedback on this post , it might sound a little familiar to some who know me ( i've been saying this sh*t for years).

There will be a meeting on Sunday after lunch. (1PM) to nail down these details.

What do i expect of GATT?

1) To continue their work in hosting national tournaments
2) To provide incentives for gamers in inviting other ppl to join the association
3) To realise there are other gaming associations in Trinidad and co-operate with them for the realization of the theorized "gaming league" and in holding national tournaments
4) To protray gaming as it exists in our trinidadian culture

well that's the thing Dax, for most of these things to be realised, we need a few people who will "guarantee" to be there.

nice points smurf. We have already partnered with another gaming association on the island. They are fall under the carigamers initiative so keeping the efforts concerted together will help the region become the best in gaming in the world!
