lol x 2 @ mixing chemicals. hahhahahahhaha

but the boy is right, the card works better on an older cpu than the Geforce equivalent.

I remember in the earlies when Nvidia came out with the Geforce2, the big thing was that it worked fast EVEN on older processors. Older video cards depended very heavily on the CPU before.

Today, when you look @ all those benchmarks in reviews, they are based on the fastest mc processor available. That doesn't help us with 1600+ and 2000+ cpus. We can't get a good idea of which of these new cards will perform best on our system.

Sure, one can cry upgrade, get the fastest cpu and hymc...but that costs money.

serious money.

Firingsquad did a review recently on the performance of the latest 3dcards on older processors....in conclusion they said..upgrade your cpu and hymc. lol, the rich bastards.

but looking at the benchmarks, that is very impressive for a Pentium III system @ 850mhz

Our 1600+ (arguably twice the speed of your processor) only do 5000+ 3dmarks with the Geforce4 MX 440s.

The dragon machines with TI 4200 and 2000+ processors average about 10,000

@defcon... specs don't mean nutting... in fact.. don't EVER look at specs to find out the speed of something... different companies measure specs differently [ eg. theoretical fil rate instead of real world fill rate, theoretical memory bandwitdth instead of proven ] spec wise the pentiums own the athlon64s.. spec wise a 5800 ownz the 9700.. but we all know that in reality the opposite is true
the radeon 8500s THEORETICAL memory bandwidth is 12gb/s for the LE and 16 gb/s for the 8500 pro . Nvidia measures most of its cards by theoretical memory bandwidth..
its not meant to prove a point.. just meant for you to learn something.. take no offense.

TrinithereturnofGamez you did an edit on your post. My reply would now look like this  :cdvil:

What planet are you from man !  Specs are everything. What processor you use with MOBO or what video Card you choose to run with AMD/P4. This shows what you want to do with your system,,,,, run PowerPoint or Run Generals on a 50'' Plasma with full settings..................... Get onto some serious gamer forums man, and get the real info from real world users who change their systems weekly just for better performance.

Be carefull which forum you go on, they might laugh you offffffff it,,,,,with the crap you talk. lil

i don't mean SPECS as in.. fast processor or lots of ram i mean specs on THE PARTS... as in memory bandwidth, clock speed and vertices per second....

eg. RAMBUS can give u 9.6 gb/s of memory bandwidth.. thats 50% more than dual DDR... does it mean its 50% faster at mem bandwidth intensive apps? no.. its 10% faster.

you gone gay or what Osiris?

jumpin up on GL hardware just like that.

Those machines have served the gamedom well and continue to conduct it.

The upgraded machines run every new game we throw at it...bar none. Prince of Persia, Gladiator, the works. smooth and buttery.

The Dragon machines iymc. Shizz mini mon will run circles around the specs you call there.

ATI 9800 iymc.
