Hey I was just wondering for those who don't have high speed connections are there any fun online rpgs that don't need a fast connection. All I got is fiberline and stupid 500 ms pings are bad

no tstt dsl here

Anyone on fiberline wanna try hosting locally? heard you can get some really good pings if you are on the same network

Yeah boy it bad , download speeds decent but its no good for gaming,constant 500ms ping with no spikes, tstt dsl is still the only way to go yes

Yeah about 300ms ping is hommuch you getttin on normal dial up. Sometimes on a good day yuh getting a 200.

i have DSL. Online with the xbconnect program (XBOX) i get like 100ms pings. It ok. ALot of the time though its hard to play a game. Getting on LIVE and PS2 Online is much better. You get a much lower ping since these are dedicated gaming servers and so on.

On UT2004 my ping is somewhere around 50-70 which is pretty decent. Anything under 100ms is cool enough.

WRT to online RPG's i thought Everquest was ok. I remember when it was first out it supported from 28.8k up. So i think you can get online cool with that. ITs difficult to get online on Everquest at times, they regulate the number of people per server so as usual during peak gaming but when you do you get a good connection.
