Yeah people,Im a Newbie!(Ive always wanted to say that!)
These forums real confusing dread!I have to pay fuh meh own Avatar!Anyway gettin back to the point...I got a problem.Heres the deal. When it had the previous forums,it had close to 3000 members ,but since these forums came into effect it only have about 300 members.I know perfectly well that alot of members has'nt signed up but the thing is alot of people just joined GATT to participate in sweat and  never returned to the forums. The question is that,is there a better way of gatting more loyal members? After all GATT shouldnt become a "pappy show."

It's an issue yes.

The website membership list is stuck on the old forum and asking all our members to re-register on this new one is surely a grossly inefficient way of getting the list reinstated.

Especially, as you quite rightly pointed out, a lot of them simply register just to become members to participate in sweat and do not return to the forums frequently.

The only solution is to import the old accounts from the old forum unto this new one. I do not know if that is technically possible.

It probably can be done as mysql converteres are available.
But what will that accomplish?
I'ts better to leave this new one here, leave the old one and see how much ACTIVE gatt members there really are.

There were too many repeats and "false" members in the last set. It's better to start anew and see who's who.

no it's not.

"active forum" members are not the only "active gatt" members. Do not confuse the two.

There are many people who don't frequent the forums but come sweat every  weekend and practically live in SnS/Euro/HQ. These are the guys I am killing in Savage and SOF2 on any givin evening or beating up in Tekken 4 and streetfighter on a Sunday.

Infact, these people will easily be considered "more active" than the forum membership since they go about the business of playing games with the gatt community at large.

When last did we see Hidden or Lovy in a sweat?

These truly active members deserve to be listed on the website just as much as anyone else here. We shouldn't just throw them away because they didn't rush back to the forums and re-register.

It will be a task, I am certain, to import that old list and clean it up somewhat, maybe too much of a task. If we don't do it, it's for that reason alone.

Agreed.  Whre do we draw the line? 3000+ is great.. but how many actually...valid?
But baego has a point as well.  They only solution I can think of... is that at SNS / Emmanutech/ Euro + / HQ we get lists of men present at sweat.. let them write down.. username/email/clan/Date of Birth  and then I'll compile and add them all manually.
But as the site expands and becomes more the meduim for showcasing and broadcasting.. those memebrs would need to at least...visit the site once in a while.
Maybe a Babe of the day would bring them in :D
