Id DID mention quake 4..that it will be focusing on single player like quake 2.. that it will be using the DIII engine.... that it will be out before TSTT becomes reliable and affordable.

that still doh say squat for the specs an thing. you really think ID gonna use the normal ordinary d3 engine for q4? you see what sof2 did with the q3 engine? its enhanced, they add in other stuff...hangon lemme go and get the mc link so i go prove its mc! nice got it:

..now my point is, ID can really optimize and enhance that d3 engine for q4. i can bet my bottom dollar that they wont use the exact same thing they use for doom3. therefore we cant say what it will and will not run. because d3 may not run and look as sweet as it may on a pc. ID may then go optimize its mc learning from that mistake. so when d3 come out, people start to complain about this bug and that bug, they go fix the engine up a bit, enhance it, add in new stuff. and for all we know it may require a faster pc, or hell it may require a slower one. hope you get my point. doh go and make conclusions or anything unless we have the hardcore facts...i may bring out mario3 tommorow, next week i may bring out mario4 using same engine but you may not even tell fuss i tweak it up an thing. look at how COD (Call of duty) does look, hard to imagine that it using the q3 engine not so? enhancements iwmc

i didn't say it will use the doom iii engine EXACTLY like it will be used in DIII , of course they will tweak it, but they will use it......

the xbox's hardware is showings its age, it will not be enough to get the full experience of the next generation games eg:
half life 2
quake 4
doom III

well then don't bloody put q4 in there because you have no mc idea whether it will conduct it or not whether it uses the d3 engine or not.

Developers like ID have no problem taking a few years making a new engine because they KNOW that their fanbase will NOT mind waiting. The quality of their games speaks for itself. They'd rather spend 5 years making an engine perfect rather than 2 weeks on a ratch job. And don't we appreciate that? Suppose LOTR, rather than 3 3 odd hours movies was condensed into 1 1 hour and a half film.....do you think it would have won 11 Oscars?

hoss, i honestly aint know if you trying to play stupid or you just cant read. i go repeat it brisk. even though they use the d3 engine, the optimizations and enhancements may require a faster pc or slower pc, therefore you cant say that xbox wont conduct it. i think this is like the 2nd time i have to repeat this to you again. look at my other posts in detail nah. wham you cant admit that you wrong for once man? be a big man, see you say shit and correct yourself after man.

Quality?You mean that the fact that they've completely lost their position as the premiere FPS developer?
Why not use someone else's engine.The guys at ID certainly aren't of some kind of unparalled genius.While they waste time,other games are conquering their market.

ALOT of these rumours turn out to be true..

eg 2 years ago somebody stated that the  radeon 10800 will have 16 pipes and the 10900 will have 24... since "X" stands for the roman numeral 10 ..
 this has turned out to be true.. they also did say that it would use DDR II.. a 256 bit RAM interface and direct X 9 plain.

If it's not too much to ask can you please not refer to the new Radeon cards as 10 and instead stick with the X? I think if ATi wanted to use 10 they would, I know the X stands for 10 but marketing wise it wouldn't be smart to have a product with a name that long, and also it looks really retarted when you write it as 10800.
