Personal Matters Into The Forums

Though the bar is used to talk about life issues and things in general, please don't post personal matters between you and someone else in here. Today I had to ban someone who was doing so, this was the 3rd time that the person did it and the person was even warned. Coming on the forums and bashing someone personal life is wrong! If you would like to talk about your sex life with someone else etc etc then give the person a call and diss him. Don't come here making a big scene over your issues.

Dissing other GATT members in that way won't be tolerated. It's okay to say he's a mc or a lame mc or something like that, but when you come bringing his personal life matters into the scene and talking about his secrets and desires thats where things go bad. No need to embarrass someone like that ok. This goes for all of you, but in particular the person who was banned. Thank god only 5 people saw that post, for all i know someone may have been killed over it!

Hope this is clear. You won't be banned or anything like that on the first 2 or occasions because we're all humans and might put in some personal stuff when we're upset, but don't go overboard and if warned don't do it again ok

Scene.
I remember a time where I said that matters such as this would cause no end of trouble. When personal matters spiral out of control, it could have very bad consequences, and impact very badly on the forums.
I've seen it happen before.

As GATTers, we owe it to ourselves and each other to be as respectful to each other as we can. Sure, we like to take cracks at each other, as well as the occassional picong, and even when things get flustered, we should take the time to settle our differences as peacefully as possible.
Professional gamers such as ourselves should compete with honour and respect for each other. That's the way it was, still is, and always should be.

The FEAR console war that took place a while back?
That was a battle of honour, my friends.
We demonstrated what skills we had, and always respected our opponents. I also got the opportunity to personally apologize and settle my differences with Perfectdrug, and I'm grateful that she gave me that chance. Very nice girl, once you get to know her.

When we spout words at each other and use personal issues to gain the upper hand, it just shows that lack of maturity and compassion to know that we aren't being considerate of other people's feelings or preferences or whatever, and that we, in fact, have stooped to a very low level, all for the sake of winning some petty argument.
I may be one ill-tempered gamer [as some of you could testify], but even I know where to draw the line. Even when I do slip up and go over that line, I know to apologize for my actions soon after. Mengsk could tell you that, when I cussed at him loudly after he leveled me in Capcom vs. SNK 2. He was the better man that day, and I recognised that a little while after, so I caught up with him later on and shook his hand, apologizing for my behaviour and congratulating him for besting me.

Well, that is my two cents on the issue.
I'm still intrigued as to what that article said that would inspire a person to kill.... :shock:

I can vouch ofr NEO. He is a big man. After his mistakes he apologizes. I noticed that a while back and have respected him since for it. And his post is very good. We need to know when to stop. And even when we in sh!t-talk mode, If we see ppl taking it seriously we should apologize.
