just wanted to know wat u ppll think bout half life 2.
i got the preveiw of it for and i can summarize the game i one word.
beautiful.
if u think doom3 or halo 2 has good graphics wait till u see the preview.
23 minute of game play footage is 617mb

well the current state of graphics back at e3 had half life 2 between doom 3 and halo 2 with doom 3 being the better . alot of improvment could be done in almost a year time

i play the hl2 beta, the hell with watching them big videos

graphics are good indeed

however i like meh doom3 oui.

i will trade HL2 beta for D3 beta........

D3 isn't alll THAT great a game ... the graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is SCARY.. but otherwise its just Q2, or wolfenstein with more monstors

HL1 was a great all round game, HL2 might even be better

Mentioned before that this is my game of the year for 2004 even though I aint play it yet. I waiting for this quietly and patiently whenever it's released I buying it ASAP and original too, no backup or burn copy or crap like dat. HL deserves to be paid for.

Exactly....well said Supreme...i doh mind dishing out a lil cash for those 2 games....They are must have original games...

I've seen previews for Doom3 and it looked like a movie, not a game.....fuss the graphics were hot!

the graphics in half life 2 is simply beautiful, i cannot wait for it to come out for the pc. :!:

Haven't seen too much of the gameplay of doom3, but i do know it's just like Quake only prettier.

Half life had, has and maybe always will have the best AI of all the FPS out there. The story is one of the best in all of gamedom and from judging the tutorial sequence for the 1st game it is one the best ever made....and that's just the tutorial. and remember what it says in the book of sweat "Thou shalt know my dreadness by the acts of my tutorial mission", thanks be to God for the game.

Halflife 2 is not a game. It is more than just that, it is an interactice movie...simply put.

the beauty of half life 2 is....

IT WILL PLAY ON A 700MHZ WITH 64MB OF RAM AND A 8MB VIDEO CARD/INTEG .

for full detail it needs a 2.6 GHZ P4 or a 2 ghz athlon, 256mb DDR , and a geforce 4 TI /radeon 8500+
[ the FX is mostly slower than the geforce 4 TI for this game ]

the GL's should more than be able to play de game

Half Life is still MUCH BETTER THAN HALO IN EVERY AREA . Half life is longer, has more realistic gameplay , gas SCARY zombies, has REAL puzzles and has the best multiplayer TO DATE .
Counter-Strike : raven shield like modification for half life
Day of Defeat : Wolf like WW2 mod for half life
Natural Selection : a game like no other, mod for half life
Team Fortress : Quake like mod for half life
opposing forces : SOF2 like modification for half life
richochet : i have no idea but they say its good
HALF LIFE : a multliplayer game that is wierd and hard .

Take a look at the high dynamic range images as well as the benchmark performance charts. I'm really glad I bought the 9600XT now
