Okay, what is the exact wording of the message? If you can include the error code, your OS and the name of the modem that would be good. In the modem properties in device manager, does it tell you if your modem is working properly?

Incidentally, I would advise against giving your phone number out on the forums where everyone can see it.

Open the connection.
Click Properties.
Click on Networking.
Click on TCP/IP, then properties on the right.

I dunno what the term is, but you need 2 DNS entries
196.3.132.1
196.3.132.4

If you have that already, you should uninstall the tcp/ip features and reinstall it.
Make sure you have a Windows cd.

Please note that the DNS entries Waggy used were for TSTT. If you have another ISP, please check the literature you got when signing up, the website or call them to get the right ones.

That said...I'm rusty on this...but that error, isn't it possible there's a bad driver in there?

Heh, sorry. I always disregard the smaller ISP's.
And yeah, itf you didnt mess around before, it's a driver problem.
