Before I say anything more, the reason why I posted this thread is to bring to notice that to anyone that watched this video that the video wasn't FULLY authentic. I'm not bashing a man for doing this-hell-the vid. was damn entertaining
But I just thought I'd bring this issue to mind before anyone started jumping to conclusions/
Hellfire-man, I know I was one of them who was real bawling for that vid. and I know I not lying there. Sorry to 'burst your bubble' about the video being all that dread man, but the guy altered images to beat the game within a timing. So don't be calling me a punk for verifying the authenticity of a person's work.
But the next time I head for J.A.V.A, I'll show you a few of the the screen edits that the guy did when he made this video. I can point out at least six in one go.
Zero X-Man, READ my post next time. I NEVER said I doubted the man and at what speed he moved at. If you read the thread links I posted you'd see that the way he cheated was constant screen captures and loading them over whenever he fell into a deathtrap. He didn't do anything out of place and all the powers etc. he collected were real and timed and its true he actually moved non-stop with the B button, holding it to run.
RB-About the two years creation myth. My bad there. I read the original Japanese page with the bad translation. My apologies there.
Check out the link RB posted, that should explain things a bit more to the bottom of the page and give you some better debug reports that my threads gave.
I never meant to flame or belittle the man who did the vid because I KNOW I can't do any better because it takes a damn lot of skill and patience to make a vid as entertaining as this one.
Somone who knows the bugs and shortcuts in a game and can make a quick conquer in just a few minutes-they have reached an extraordinary point of skill. Props to the man.
Just remember that the game was recorded via emulator and not console, that should help you see the point a bit.
