with a very dense molecular structure, probably close to darkseids own who is close to supermans own.  and logan beat lobo so  if superman was at less than 100 percent he may be able to cut him. but supes would heal in any case.

superman, thats a different story, he fares equally well against energy and physical beings, his two tried and true weaknesses.

the one everyone knows,
kryptonite yadda yadda.

and the second less widely known but equally as  annoying

is magic.

because of his energy matrix that feeds off of ambient and active energy in the environment.

superman absorbs and distributes all energies around him.

this works to his disadvantage when it comes to, red sun light, kryptonite and magical energies.

he absorbs magical energy into his matrix and thus allows de spells to work easily on him, he is still invulnerable but spells can be cast on him to make him immobile or transport him else where and such, what spells cannot do is affect his molecular structure, so no turning him into a frog or anything like that.


this is where he uses his mind over matter abilities( he is slightly telepathic and to a greater extent, telekinetic) which aids him in regaining control of himself when spells are cast on him.

he also has incredibleeee will power, being the S and all. so this also aids him.

ok again supermans strength speed and invulnerability play a large part here, magnus is known for his metal manipulation and using said manipulated metal as weapons.

although this is quite an efffect way of fighting superman, as he doesnt have to take direct blows which could be fatal to him, magnetos main weakness, is that he is old and he cannot use full power for extended periods of time with out ripping a whole in the earths em field, which gives him his power, and it also is very physically taxing on him to do so.



for magneto to beat superman, he would either need to have the amount of power he had as joseph and destroy him self along with the em field to beat superman.

orrrrr he could pray and hope that kryptonian blood is as susceptible as human blood is to ionisation.

in short, he would have to hope he can make superman fall unconcious from a lack of oxygen to the brain.
or hed have to pull the trick he did on apocolypse and rip every single cell in supermans body in half all at once.

but he was only able to do this to apocolypse because apocolypse is of course living metal.
