Resident Evil: Books, games, movie
« on: January 16, 2004, 12:47:04 PM »
Does anyone hear read the books for resident evil by S.D Perry?

IF anyone does i wanna to ask a couple questions

At the beginning of the 3rd book : City of the Dead, Jill is getting ready to go to Europe with barry and chris but in the 5th book: Nemisis she is in raccoon city after the outbreak of the virus

if i can remember clearly, barry saved jill at the end of RE3 but what happened to chris? i'm only on chapter 5 or 7 in book 5

so could someone help me out to understand it?

and in the movie, which city were they in, Raccoon?

There're Resident Evil books?
Never read any.

I have read the books on StarCraft and WarCraft if anyone wants the lowdown and I'll be starting the Halo books soon.

uh i borrowed from friends

there are 6 books and they are awsome, they fill in the blanks of the games

like in RE3, nicolai shot mikhail, thats how he got the wound in his stomach

there are 6 books in all

Book 1: Umbrella Conspiracy (RE1)
Book 2: Caliban Cove
Book 3: City of the Dead (RE2)
Book 4: Underworld (Not RE the movie but similar location, underground Facility)
book 5: Nemisis (RE3)
Book 6: Code Veronica (...guess)

i really recommend everyone to read the series, it's as addictive as the game

Quote

A deadly virus has been unleashed on the population of Raccoon City. RESIDENT EVIL: Apocalypse is a terrifying adventure in survival horror.

Milla Jovovich (5th Element, Dummy) returns as ALICE, one of only two survivors of the contained biochemical disaster in the first RESIDENT EVIL, the $100 million hit that serves as a prologue to the all-out action and horror of RESIDENT EVIL: Apocalypse.

The film begins where the first film left off, with ALICE in the heart of the ravaged and deadly Raccoon City. She has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation by the vast Umbrella Corporation and become genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

ALICE is joined by JILL VALENTINE (Sienna Guillory – Time Machine, Helen of Troy), a recently demoted member of Umbrella Corp’s elite Special Tactics and Rescue Services (S.T.A.R.S.), TERRI MORALES (Sandrine Holt - Once A Thief, Happy Hour), CARLOS OLIVIERA (Oded Fehr – The Mummy, Presidio Med), L.J. (Mike Epps – Next Friday, All About the Benjamins), and NICHOLAI (Zack Ward – Titus, Almost Famous) who must survive and escape what is quickly becoming a City of the Dead. To reach their goal, they will need to battle their way through the relentless onslaught of the ravenous undead, as well as Umbrella forces and terrifying bioengineered weapons, the most deadly of which is the colossal, heavily armed assassin, NEMESIS.

Also featured in RESIDENT EVIL: Apocalypse are Thomas Kretschmann (U-571, 24, The Pianist), Jared Harris (I Shot Andy Warhol, Mr. Deeds) and Sophie Vavasseur (Evelyn).

RESIDENT EVIL: Apocalypse will be released in 2004.

From  RE2.com

but one thing i don't get, i never remember in RE3- game or book alice meeting up with Jill

Well this is where the whole mystery comes about-remember in RE2 they had alternate endings, even with where you hafta play with other characters to get them. So I think the area where ALICE comes in is as a side quest thingy.

But even the first RE movie never had it in line with the game or book. They began the movie in the RE1 mansion with the Umbrella entrance underground and then when they moved back out of the underground to head back to the mansion, they were caught and dragged to the Umbrella's main corporation HQ in Racoon City (Remember-in this entire story, Umbrella is a Worldwide org.) Because as RE4 shows, the protagonist is lost somewhere near France after the helicopter crash and his amnesia.

So most likey here, I can see the place where Nemesis comes in, because remember they took the last infected memeber and put him in the Nemesis program from the movie. And remember the Berzerkers from RE2 and 4? The big strapping hulk type guys? Therefore, if you read all scripts and papers you picked up from RE1-Code Veronica so far-according to the writers-Berzerker=Altered human clone with Steroids and T-Virus tracers. So therefore its concluded that Berzerker+G-Virus+T-Virus+Altered mental steroidal treatment=Nemesis.

on the battlefield, you must learn in the battles that ended in victory or defeat...you must think about if those lives were either spent for a good cause or or wasted
