GATT Celebrity Interview Questions
« on: February 19, 2004, 02:06:43 AM »
Guys,

We will be interviewing some gaming icons from the island on an ongoing basis. The guy you know...or should know who have been instrumental in establishing our gamedom. The movers and shakers of our digital world.

But first, a question to you.

What to ask some of the greatest gaming minds the caribbean has to offer?

Pick their brain iwmc.

This stuff is going to the media, so nothing too raunchy, lol.

Example Question 1

What are your thoughts on the increasing blood, gore and violence in video
games?
Just a release for the youth, to vent frustrations? Or a clever IRA/Al Queda
collaborative effort to create a new breed of emotionless terrorists?

Got it? nice....now lets get those creative juices flowing.

Where do you stand now in gaming. You think that after all this time yu still have an edge?

Do you think that by making video gaming a spectator sport that we will see improvements in teh culture?

sounds nice, i made the thread sticky, to get attention of more people

how about sexual content in games. com'on you'll know what i mean! playing games and having ladies in clubs strip dancing an thing, i am pretty sure you'll have seen this kinda stuff before. not to mention having prostitutes on the road an thing, like in grand theft auto.

also the game ratings. i sure you see some games rated teen, and good lord you wonder why it get such a low rating! some games try to reduce blood and gore to try to make the T rating but it have other things in the game that would sure as hell make it M.

a question for me to ask is.....

As a gamer do you sometimes get the feeling that one day you will ever stop playing games?

do you plan on taking gaming on a world class level? and if you do, do you think you are ready to play against new gamers from all over the world?

if you were chosen to play for your country in a specific game abroad e.g halo (>:) ) with four other people you do not know,do you think your chances of winning are high?
on the battlefield, you must learn in the battles that ended in victory or defeat...you must think about if those lives were either spent for a good cause or or wasted

has the proliferation of great/awesome game engines, to you, spawned a race of great/awesome games. Or a race of could have been great/awesome games that let their predecessors down.

Whats currently your favourite engine and what engine would you like to see applied to current gaming stories.

A good question is this one...

What are your thoughts with respect to the gaming that we do locally to be taken to the highest levels, and what (if anything) is being done by the local gaming community to try to realise this goal, if they even think that far...?

*This should put in some good responses :)*
Nagamete iru dake ja, itsumademo te ni dekinai...nagamete iru dake ja, kimi no mono ni wa naranai...

Great questions guys.

SPK, we have already established a caricom regional gaming body and are currently preparing for War with Jamaica. Next stop, the world.

Developing the level of gameplay is a by product of such inter island and global competition.

Okay-here's one:

If you have/will have/had children, would you encourage them to game to the full? Even if they consider it as a somewhat careeer? And do you think gaming on a whole helps cut down on crime as it keeps young occupied and off the streets wandering aimlessly?

We have GAMECON.

You never heard of it?

big tournament in mall. Don't feel because we are on an island that we are inferior to those foreigners.

(well actually the winners of GameCon were two chinese guys from Canada, lol but that's not the point)

We can BEAT those foreign scum. If not as an island...as a region.

The best of Jamaica's gamers and Trinidad Gamers will unite and form a caribbean power house. Other islands will follow.
