hey ppl...i recently acquired an ftp server..it's a facinating device but a lil confusing to me i'm still trying to work it!

just wanted to know your thoughts on the subject...and hopefully understand more about them

Anything in particular you want to find out about ftp servers? I can prolly provide *some* info.

To even begin to help you, we'd need some more info on stuff like what OS you're running, what ftp server software was installed, what do you plan to do with it etc.

FTP can be a double edged sword though silver.

Proactive hackers like nitrate could get into your system and make mass with your files.

Exercise some caution.

so i've heard from many sources
i've heard ppl can dump viruses onto it
so the security level has been set to "very high"...i'm not sure if that is enough though

well it's a BPFTP...bulletproof ftp server
i'm running windows xp...(the server is not on my mac)

an ftp server.... humm.... lets put it this way... i cant wait to get dsl so i can set up my machine as an ftp server... CANT WAIT FOR DE RIAA TO COME IN MEH BACKSIDE.... buahahahahahahahahahaha
