AMD for gamers.... i will be building an AMD system in a month or two for 1900! 256mb DDR 333, AthlonXP 2400+, gigantic fan, case, PSU, albatron mobo.  

 ATI ownz nvidias base in the lower end, nvidia wins medium end, ATI comes back and pwnz them in the hi end

hmm what is middle end for you? because a ati 9500 will surely kick major butt. so i not sure! what is your medium range?

9500s are not in production... and ....

Geforce FX 5900XT : 2.2 ns ram that can reach over 1GHZ DDR! fast as a 9800 pro for 185 USD
then the 9800 pros are 212 now..

Confusious say, may who try to fry egg in computer case end up with REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE OMLET, *sniff sniff* is that egg or is that 1ntel's' 1nside prec0tt ?  I hope this moderator has at least some chinese in him or else I say doh be quoting we thing!!!

'cheap thing no good' applies to certain things.... yes the prescotts will fry everything inside your case but they will not fry themselves , they were designed to handle a core temp of up to 90 degrees celsius, though they normally hit about 65 under load.
  The Durons are cheap and VERY good compared to the CELERONS even up to today, the 1.8/1.6 durons are only 45 USD and they pwn all the all the pentiums below 1.8ghz , and all the celerons that are non D cores.
 
when it comes to RAM 'cheap thing no good' applies well....... and thermal paste/pads .
