XP HOME! OMG!!! !!!! RUN!! IT HAS THE PLAGUE!! IT WILL CRASH HALFWAY THROUGH BOOT.

xp home is good.. if you download 150mb of patches and upgrades.

good but...
sounds a little pricey for no monitor included. and no brandname on the ram.
i would also be suspicious about the keyboard and mouse. those are very personal and subjective pieces of hardware and you shouldnt have to settle for 'whatever came with the pc'.
The balance of the components sounds fine though. although i dont like onboard lan. and sound.

o don't forget speakers and sound card. for a box that powerful it would be a waste not to have at least 4.1 and an audigy 24 bit . make sure it is a reputable place you buying dat.

and one tip........ for trinidad.. unless you have a air condition....

athlon = FIRE DEVIL DEMONIC FLAME DEMON! it will not last long, get a P4 2.4c , faster , will last longer, will run cooler.

you kno how BIG intel chipz are compared to AMD? more surface area= cooler INSIDE, longer lasting .

you can LIVE on the stock Intel HS/F combo, in a tropical climate you NEED to spend $25 on a heatsink which you have to do ALOT of research on, then you need a fan that will deafen you.

i THINK that if you get the new dual 32/64 bit intel chipset you can pop in a 64 bit pentium when it comes out.

in fact.. screw whever is offering that. just get a the parts yourself and a copy of Fixing&upgrading for Dummies . as long as you got a credit card and a skybox [20 US , you can pay with credit card ] you can get yourself a cheap pwnzing system in one week. on www.newegg.com you can get a 64 bit athlon 3000+ system with 9800 pro, 5.1 speakers, a good CRT screen, 1gb ram, ASUS mobo, same case , lots of fans, SATA harddrive etc. . for the same price

remember the dog DOES NOT FIT IN THE AGP SLOT

Y not Osiris?(lol).Trini...where get that from jed?I running a 1700+ XP for about 2 yrs(Average temp bout 47-50 Deg.C) now on stock cooling and it still working as the day i bought it and I don't use A/C.My padna have a 2600+ XP for a couple of months now on stock cooling and it still good and to make matters worse he overclock to boot!So whoever tell u that "stuff" bout XP's talking crap.I don't think AMD would make chips that blow with stock cooling..

AMD processors okay in a METAL case with 2 front fans, side fan, rear fan....

in a normal Dell, Compaq or gateway plastic case with only 1 rear fan other than PSU fan......
