I have noticed that it is not quite irregular for the same person to win the lotto more than once, twice or even three times. Is this fair to those who have entered and never won? Should there not be a stipulation that bans u from let's say 3 lotto drawing if u win one?

I think that when a person wins, let's say he's banned for a stipulated number of subsequent lottery draws...

Though IMO, 3 draws is too little...something more like 10 will be appropriate...

hmmm d lotto...yea it kinda unfair for 1 person to win 3 times eh...even dat doh happpen in real life lotto lol...buh come to tink of it...if u save d 5 gold instead...eventually u wud hav saved as much as u cud hav one if u kept buyin a ticket lol....

then it whould be more random

it is a random thing
even if they won before if they paid their money to play again then they should have an equal chance of winning

so there is not problem in that

but that is how a simple random sample works and i only knowof someone winning twice in a row

i think the gatters just want to win as i do also but fair is fair i doh see anything corrupt it is a computer generated random sample so it is not irregular to this form......

Totally agree wit splits there...but then again...I did win it 3 times so far, and twice in a row no less...wud be kinda weird if I thought otherwise

To the credit of the others tho, I had feel kinda slight when I see KajunKid win it three times and I had only raked it in once, but then on the next 2 drawings, I pulled it in...so I keep quiet

...only to see KK pull it again

...but das small ting...he win fair and square...so I got no beef wit dat...

ChickenNBeer was quite irate that I'd won multiple times, come in d chat and givin me talks bout knowin where I live and who my loved ones are...I could honestly do without that kinda chat...but like w-hat-ever yo...I still went and buy a ticket, and will continue to buy tickets...hell, I'd buy multiple tickets if I had the opportunity

To be honest tho, I don't have any use for the gold, I jes hording it in d bank collectin interest

I'm well over 2700 now

Oh, and can we rename it to "Lotto" instead of "Gold Rush"? We already refer to it that way anyways

Splitz, the randomness is the problem. Thus the situation where everyone has a similar chance to win the lotto being repeated for the previous winners. It means that there is no available means to regulate fair play for those who have never won.

I don't see what's the big deal, really....
When I won the lottery once and bought my avatar and signature rights, my arsenal of weapons and my forums effects, I didn't see the need for any more money than to store it in the bank.
Then again, with all of the suggestions I made for the shop section, it wouldn't hurt to have a little on the side...you never know when the mods do throw in those Saigon Daggers.

Was just thinkin that after reading his post then noticed you already said it

To his credit tho, this is not the real lotto and as such is not necessarily governed by the same code of ethics. imo, it should be a case of, the first person to sign up has a higher chance of winning than the last man to sign up, only incrementally higher, but higher nonetheless, it should also take into account if you already won etc and reduce your chances a bit. But who's gonna sit down and code all that? I surely don't have the time to put into such a trivial pursuit...but then again, I've already won multiple times under the current lotto

that is how it works
each person has an equal chance at all times to be choosen again
that is how it is is and that is all

The big deal is people scrunting for gold when others rolling in it. It's unfair to those who have never won a lotto before for someone to win it 3 times in a row.

Randomness is simply inadequate here, we need certain measures to govern the lotto system to ensure that if u win it once you are barred from at least 3 more drawings.

Life isn't fair....it should be left the way it is...why should someone be banned from entering the lottery after winning x times...now that is just ridiculous.
