The big guns in hollywood are planning to make a live action version of
anime classic Neon Genisis Evangelion.

Nothing has been cast yet but the people behind the SFX in lord of the rings will do the FX for this movie here are some pre production shots...

With this and the rumored James Cameron version of battle Angel Alitia It should be a good few years for anime fans.

Hmm...WETA digital to do the SXF for this???

Interesting...but still, Evangelion is a VERY difficult movie to pull off as a live-action...

If they aren't careful, they will either condense the movie too much, or just confuse everyone with the amount of psychology from the series...

it does look interesting to create but as spk said it will one very difficult task to make this movie into a live one, but i wish them luck anyway...

yeah boy, this will be a hard movie to make like that.

But i have to see it regardless. I love evangelion, it's great.

I am loving this idea already, but as SPK put it-don't get too overly hopeful, becuase I agree wholeheartedly here. Condensation makes for massive confusion and most people may not be too thrilled or receptive to the amount to psychological cannon fodder this series spews. But we'll hafta wait and see...
