*sigh* The good old days...I remember when I would come home with the intention of watching G-Force and Speedracer on Cartoon Network (back when we actually had Cartoon Network US with all the cool shows!) and the original set of Pokemon episodes on UPN38 (WTF happened to that channel anyway?)...I also remember when some channel, I think it may have been WB, used to air that 3D version of Voltron on Sundays...and watching Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon on a morning while eating breakfast and trying to rush out of the house in time not to be late for school...

when life was anime and console, and no one bugged you about studying, and you were ENCOURAGED to skip school and do other stuff

Now My Neighbour Totoro is one OLD TIME anime....one of the first to show in the US because of it's sweet and cuddly nature. Hayao Miyazaki made magic in 1988.

the thing about the japanese is that they did a lot of collobarations with
other studios mostly in europe where they apperciated anime more.
Maybe some trini can make a cartoon with a jap studio and local tv
studio and start doing some carribean favoured anime nah?

too bad i have no skill watsoever at that though, but i would like to see something started.

well it depends ya don't have to draw if there were caribbean or trini cartoons they would need voice artists colorists,etc etc.
What a lot of people around here are forgettin is the japanese make
their stuff for one audience only the japanese it's only people from
other countries that have been drawn to it. It could work if you make stuff soley for your target audience the people at home for if they won't support
it than no one else will.

And there's tons of stuff you could do here. Most jap cartons are sci fi
based. Yuh telling mi that you would find it totally unbelivable if a
cartoon had a trini as the hero and it was based in sweet T+T and
they all went into outer space to fight aliens and save the earth?

carribean has tons of culture and stuff to make a cartoon about.
esentially is n't that what anime reflects,aspects of japanese culture?
stuff and legends that we have no idea about but enjoy the concept?
Maybe dark goddess you can write a story as well as voice act?
The point is it has to start somewhere and the best thing about trini
is there are signs that if any caribbean anime were to start anywhere it would seem to be here.Once I return to trini I wanna
contribute to that movement,because as much as I love anime
and all It would be a kick to seem some cartoon with a trini "princess" kicking some Jumbies butt.....
