Well in the aids thread soemone brought up the second biggest world pandemic, HUNGER. As iam a medtech/biotech/biomedical research student this is a personal issue to me.

What do my fellow gattidadians think of food and medicine bioengenired by biotechnology?

Such as bioenginered meats and vegetables that have been grown and breeed but have not been released n a wide scale thanks to un and governmental legislation?

Did you all know that 2 years ago the leading scientist in biotech in the world single handedlly took it upon him self to go on a mission to grow food to feed the entire continent of africa, and succeeded in creating that amount of food thanks to the improved yield of bioenginered food, but thanks to lobbying by GREEN PEACE(yes green peace) , the african goverments and the un decided not to accept the food on the grounds that the food could be POTENTIAL unsafe.

So all that food was wasted. THis was aired on the shwo time series, PEN AND TELLER's BULLSHYT.
simple statement from the man pen, IF YOU AND YOURS ARE NOT STARVING THEN YOU SHOULD SHUT THE FOAK UP!

bio food is cool and all on that it feedin the ppl and stuff and actually decreasin the whole economic problem of scarcity in terms of hunger buuuuut the food may not be all that safe.....if u eat it a numerous amt of times...who is to say that it wud not cause u to get reaaal bad diseases and stuff i mean although it   has so called been tested and stuff it hasnt really been FULLY tested however the normal foods that we ewat are also a risk and how can they do FULL testin if we dont let it be released?.... therefore this whole bio food thing has both good and bad
