For those of you interested in this game, but are still unsure on whether or not you would be able to play an American release, use this guide here (on the first page) to play the import to whet your appetite. I have a feeling that you're going to need it.

The actual game is due to be released on the Nintendo Wii on December 11th. Prepare yourselves, because I'm going to sweep the living hell out of several of you. Just a heads up.

If you're updated to 3.4 you won't be able to play this game as 3.4 has disabled the homebrew channel. Thank goodness for my chipped Wii.

Sadly, Dante's not in it.

Anyway. Wow. This game is just....too awesome for words. I took it for a spin earlier today, and MAN. This is the fighting game I've been waiting for to re-ignite that spark in me that's been fading for a good while now.

Completely contrary to what a certain naysayer/moron in this thread said earlier, you should definitely take this game for a whirl.

Despite the fact that I'm a big anti-fan (not hater lol) of Street fighter and most other 2d fighters - like KoF, MvC etc. ? Recently picked up Guilty Gear, I think it was X or AC or some other letter(s) and didn't find that too bad. From the roster it looks like a really fun game to kick around for a while, but not something I would take the time to learn, like SC4. Nevertheless, if I find a decent group of ppl to play with I may consider picking it up. Is there online?

The game doesn't have online.

As for GGXX vs SC4. Its a toss up, AC doesn't have online and most casual players may not understand the game properly, its a game with alot of sub systems that you need to understand to be any good depending on your location there are various circles that play the game. Check www.dustloop.com for details.

SC4 has decent online, but the offline community is so so, Imperial would be better suited to talk about SC4.

Ah, crap. That sucks. Then again, I should have remembered that it was a Nintendo Wii, after all. They seem rather adverse to online play.

Anyway, something recently happened that's causing quite a stir in the TvC community.
Rather than have me tell you about it, see for yourself.

Performing a Variable Tag immediately after a mid-Aerial Rave Red Hot Kick will result in Joe freezing. However, there is a way out of it. Just mash A,B or C until he comes out.

An example can be found here:

Before you conclude that people can simply just use the glitch to disappear and run away forever with Viewtiful Joe, keep in mind that it's considered to be a 'game disrupting glitch' and, as such, would most likely be banned from pro tournaments. And since there's a proven way out of it, you don't have to deal with people consistently saying, 'But it's an accident!"

He is pretty cheap, but just like Apocalypse and Onslaught before him, all you have to do is block and hit him. Except for that last form. Then super-jumping might be something you need to do (he has a grab that takes away all of your life.)

The engine may look similar but it's not, the arcade game was built using wii based architecture hence the reason for the quick port. It'd be interesting to see if SF4 could be made using the TVC engine on the Wii.

i wish, i got the TVC , its mad!!!! i hardly know the tatsunoko pplz, but its hot, viewtiful joe in it and shit, if ur wii hardware or software chipped, get it, m,ines is software, i hadda do a song and dance to get it to work, well basically downgrade my wii to install the cios then upgrade it back
