This is something we all have to deal with, no natter how we choose to. Whether we take the stand of "fyah bun all aids man, they look for they death" or something more enlightened, we have to face it.

Most official and religious policy on this is just wrong.

we have to face this issue

it is also very rampant in trinidad

you can never tell who has it
and you must be precautious

one night of pleasure can lead to pain, suffering and even death
and sometimes trust is not enough
i know i said trust is a big part of it, but humans lie

you never know if you are being cheated on etc.
testing is the way

Well I was supposed to get a test done this week, but I cyah even get meh mc out the house to go yet

yeah man, aids a serious subject.
even when you are careful you run a risk of getting it. It's not a nice thing to have pple. I only have a very little experience first hand with aids, an uncle has it, and i can tell you that it's sure as hell not worth whatever you got the night u were infected.

getting tested is definately the way to go, BOTH partners, even if u have very little or no sexual experience, cuz condoms only protect so much, and not really aids.
I am not too sure but i think the aids virus can pass through the spaces in latex.
i did a whole project on aids for a bio class some time ago, rel facts iymc.

i dont think aids can be transmitted via kissing...but better safe than sorry.

i just recently saw an add on cnn that said that a person is infected from aide every 6 seconds.now thats really a problem.

well i dunno anybody who has aids an i guess dats a good ting to a extent....
i tink dat gettin tested every few months shud b made a law dat everybody shud hav to follow...like d car inspection ting...buh obviously a lot more often...
latex r cheaper an more available buh dere r polyurethane condoms which r a lot betta in terms of protection security an of corse pleasure(but dats nut d point here) lol
aids can b transferred through blood contact...so kissing iz generally safe still(thank god)...oral sex iz sumtin to b careful with though...though it iz safer than intercourse..betta safe dan sorry!

today i went to see about getting tested
for all of you that live in the west there is a place that gives free testing

next to holy name convent around the savannah, it is a white building with plety trees infront.

if you go mon-fri between 8am-9.30am u can take a number and get tested, i shall be going soon

I've always been wondering how come mosquitos can't infect ppl with AIDS. Maybe something to do with the blood's interaction with insect's body or something. Any ideas or facts on this perhaps?

facts, i can give you facts.

The virus needs not just blood, but RNA to survive, so it needs deep tissue blood and a stable enough temperature, it dies remarkably quickly when not in its optimum temp.

Its nothing to do with the mosquitoes physiology , its largely to do with the fact taht the blood sample that the mosquitoes take is so small, that an infectious amount of virus is not transmitted through the blood.

Basically, the mosquito is to small to sustain the virus in any form.

BUT say if mosquitos were a a bit bigger... and there temperature was a little higher.... and their salivary glands were big enough to sstain the retovirus then .... hmmm
