John Tobias Interview: DarkKahn, Movie, Captures, Wallpapers

Midway has just provided us with a video Interview with Mortal Kombat co-creator John Tobias. In this video he gives us a lot of details about his work on the Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe comic book. We also have the chance to see the Shao Kahn/Darkseid character, currently called by the fans just Dark Seid. In this video you will also see Johnny Cage, Goro, Robin, Aquaman, Mileena, Jade and Tanya who may all appear in Story Mode.

Meh. To be honest, I was somewhat expecting the Fatalities to suck. It's a T game, after all. Hopefully, when MK9 comes out, the game'll be back to it's gory self again. But man. Some of them really suck donkey cheese.

In all honesty, though, I seriously wished this game was not Mortal Kombat 8. The crossover idea's interesting, but dated. Like by about 10 years. Granted, I'll still get it, but it feels as if Midway's dumbing down this game for a 'T' audience, which is my main peeve with this game.

I'm also hoping that when Midway said there would be 'downloadable content', there are new characters tossed into the mix as well. I'm sure quite a few people were disappointed as hell when characters like Johnny Cage, Kung Lao and Reptile were left out. Heck, I was expecting DC to jump on the idea and use characters like V (V for Vendetta), Lobo and probably Rorshach or the Comedian from Watchmen, all because they seem like perfect fits for a crossover with Mortal Kombat. You know.....if Midway actually used the 'V' character in the lineup alone, you'd see a heck of a lot more going for this game.

I'm digging the cutscenes and the storyline, though. It's panning out exactly how a comic would present itself, and the voice acting's pretty top-notch, too.


So. Anybody up for Tatsunoko? I hear there's a certain little girl with a broomstick that'll be happy to take you on....

the story line sucks ass and is a disgrace to both sides of the fence.

As for the RAGEEE ahahah this may do it.. iam not sure... it has the potential... to actually be the worst game ever made...

I stand by my first view that the very idea of this game blows mega hard, but the only thing worse than a bad idea
is an even worse product.

Whatever, Crixx. I can think of quite a few fighting games that can blow a whole lot worse than MK vs. DC, but let's not go there. In my own opinion, I think it'll be a pretty fun experience for me, even if the Fatalities blow chunks and this crossover seems a bit farfetched.

Well I got this game yesterday and I must say its pretty funny the cutscenes are full of lolz especially a certain captain marvel/sonya blade one. 

rb showed me a video with a superman infinite on youtube which we then tried, they better patch that quick cause it is stupid. This game would definitely fall under rental for me.

Oh, yeah....I almost forgot about that.




For those of you in the dark about this (or if you can't see the video), it involves Superman using Ground Pound over and over and over again. Some suggested tech rolling out of it, but according to some gamers, it might actually be untechable.

Also, there's a good chance that the Joker might be broken, as some players have reported very odd hitboxes for his character, as well as some priority on several of his attacks that might border on unfair.

The game looks pretty crappy especially that rege thing, it reminds me of an obscure old monster fighter where the earth was destroyed and giant animal gods ruled part two of that game was real crappy and had a rage feature i think.. yes it was called primal rage 2 i think. well this new rage looks worse. but you know it could be fun in a campy b movie kinda way. has anyone actually played it through? if so give an actual gameplay review please
