Simply: Because it fun.

Actually, because it makes people feel good to be better at something than others, even if it is not much of an acheivment. People can suck in real life,then rule the gaming world. I dunno. No offense to anyone. Heh.

I think rock angel and spinner said it best. As a stress reliever and to run away from the real world abit. Alyuh doh realize when yuh playin game wit your breadrins for a good 2hrs - 4 hrs. yuh does forget EVERYTHING going on around yuh ( hunger + sleep included).

For me, i know it's an escape sometimes... and others as a stress reliever. And then there's the fun factor! I mean come on, i know real ppl does catch real kicks playing Halo + SOF + BF and all dem games when they go HQ/Euro/SNS.

You can't escape it. Video games are just plain F-U-N.

well for some of us games as stress relievers dont apply

another reason i play games is to enchance my imagination so i can pour it out on long @ss essays so i cud get high marks

Why I play video games? It's simple really! I play to escape reality, cure my boredom, take out my frustrations on things/ppl who won't really be hurt and just have fun.
