Whey- i would pay the 35$ again just to see the ROTK trailer again.
The movie was reel good, doh get me wrong- it needed more matrix-like fighting though.
Neo is dead? The humans allied with the machines?

It's not a matter of who stupid or smart.
Some people wanted answers on a silver platter. Matrix was never about that...not even since part 1.

So a lot of people were disappointed because the movie didn't work like other movies.

In my opinion, the movie gives you more than enough story to understand in your own way, and be satisfied with with the resolution.

And Neo is dead, btw. For now at least. He died when they deleted Smith. The technical explanation of the ending is this: Neo allowed Smith to take him over, and thus Neo's body in the real world became a direct connection to Smith in the Matrix. The Machines were then able to delete Smith through Neo's Matrix jack-connection. That's why you saw Neo spasm like that. It was the deletion code running through him.
He sacrificed himself. The cross made that kinda obvious.

Well Kayo.....if you feel akin about End of Eva to my feeling for Revolution, then i must say i finally understand....

But I must say that my friend Samano will be grossly disappointed....the Matrix will live on in the minds of this generation as an alternate view of the chaos and discrepancies of reality for all time....it might even become part of the culture....eg: "I am Stoned" will become "I have freed my mind"

but i thought that the body smith had taken over belonged to the oracle, and because of that she was able to somehow manage to destroy him with the help of the machines. Thats why at the end you see her lying in the crater where smith was.

At first i thought the ending wasn't enuff but opon deep ponderation (if that is a word)i decided that it was. D movie was damn good and was a suitable ending to the Matrix trilogy.

as for the oracle surviving, you have to look at it as this. he was a virus, viruses infect files and applications with their self copying code. when the system was cleaned of smith, all the program modules were restored to original state, that is why we found Sati (however spelt) lying on the sidewalk afterwards, she was one of the smiths. all the oracle did was provide him with the solution, by giving him the clue

and are you sure that it was as simple as that kayode? i figured that it had something to do with the ying-yang allegory that alluded to on many levels. it seems imho so far that smith became some form of self-mutating virus whose "consciousness" code became a converse to Neo's consciousness (for want of a better term), so that when smith took over Neo, and his converse nature imprinted itself onto neo creating a kind of cancellation or anit-virus definition or whatever you want to call it. coupled with the viral nature of smith that "cancellation" copied it self back onto all the other smith thus "cleaning" the system. something very similiar to what happened at the end of the matrix where neo killed smith. with the purpose i suppose being to illustrate that fact that the beginning and the end were one and the same and all that is important. hey, i could be wrong.

apart from that however i realise that all the underlying allegory in the trilogy, and that was written into the sequels, began in the first movie, everything in the end could be linked back to the beginning and vice versa.

My interpretation was what I saw. That technical thing I wrote was the generally accepted reason. Any other explanation that makes you happy, more power to you man.

I have to agree with you guys....
The movie simply reeked of awesomeness....
The battle with the machine army and the final showdown between Neo and Agent Smith kicked ass.
But, honestly?
A retarded orangutan with A.D.D. could have written a better ending for one of the greatest trilogies of all time.

I also think that the very first Matrix movie is still, undoubtedly the best out of the three....
Anybody can watch it and grasp the storyline fully.
The other two movies?
You'll still have to watch Matrix numero uno to fully grasp it.
I give Matrix: Revolutions a 3 out of 5.

If you have never seen the anything like the concept of the first Matrix, it will take time for the scheme of things to sink in.  Some ppl I know had to watch it up to 12 times to finally realize that they were at war and the human race was being used as a power source.  I mean to say, if you have never seen that in a movie before, its going to take a while to grasp theories such as this...unless you're a very astute listener/intelligent person.

ok. did anybody else notice that thing at the end? when neo dies and they showed you this machine solemnly carting neo away, they showed the machine from the back using 'the sight'. it was the image of an angel.

a similar thing was done when they showed neo dying from the view of 'the sight'

my opinion of matrix........

it was Sh!t  total and complete sh!t
it totally let me down i thought it would be better
the movie was predictable the first half totally boring
and why did a certain person take so long to die (dont want to spoil it for those who have not seen it yet)
plus that movie gave me the gayest line i ever heard in a movie
Neo , I  believe!!!!!!
 bleh so damn sh!tty
the only thing i liked was the APU's they were cool
they spoiled matrix experience with relaoded and revolutions
the original movie should have stood alone.

They had to make it simple to understand because some folks weren't able to think enough to understand Reloaded.  These are the same fools who listen to the architect talk and curse bout how things too complex.  It pains me to see that crap though.
