I remember this... Wasn't this an excerpt from an episode about 3 kids relating their take on Batman and this was one kid's take in particular? I always liked it. Nice to see it getting this treatment.

yea that's how they introduced it for that episode but it is actually a story Frank Miller did. He also did Batman: Year One and material from these stories has been used by Nolan in Batman Begins (year one) and now The Dark Knight Rises (The Dark Knight Returns) respectively.

Glad they're splitting it into 2 parts to do justice to the story if you never read it let me tell you it's gonna be awesome.

My brother had that Frank Miller comic. It was so awesome to me at the time to see the Batman I grew up with
on TV given the 'graphic novel' treatment.

I remember seeing it on Batman:TNAS back then too and thinking it was cool then a few years later a friend brought the actual graphic novel in school and showed me, I borrowed and read the hell of out it

yea remember reading the graphic novel in school. this became what fleshed out my opinion of batman. Looking forward to part 2 in particular.

The Epicness that is Part 2 leaves me speechless!!! This has to be, hands down one of, if not, the BEST Batman animated movie I have ever seen!!!
