Last night i got to go to the ITPS/ICTS dinner and award ceremony @ hilton thanks to my company sponsoring some tickets.

went there and didnt know anyone, cept some young boys from laser save or infotech or soemthing but i soon realised that like all the big wigs of IT in trinidad were present!

This is like THE place to be if you wanna associate with the top level dudes of the industry!!

THe food was great(amazing accomplishment for hilton) and they had door prizes, a flikkin nano as first prize, donated from fujitsu) and microsoft head in trinidad donated a officially licensed office 2k3 steupss, i was in de back bawling VISTA PLEASEE!! lol

but i got to Meet Mr Gobin and all the other old dudes that are at the top!


Then they said the society changing from ITPS (Information Technology Professionals Society), to the ICTS (Information Communication and Technology Society), they are launching a new website, and asking people to become members, it like have benefits an ish, like next week saturday they sending any member that wants to go, to some conference in brazil dread, way.

Anyways on another note, they now launching a forum on the site and they looking for ideas for site layout and content and forum ideas!!!

This is like ideal chance for the techs and pros amongst us to get in on the action, and also get to plug gatt into the equation!!

Heady j00 bastard!! this could be a great shot for j00 and stuff and winny you too

I think they mention something bout intel is teh ownzorage of teh society though.. yeah..

yeah marcus (our boss at BG) has been trying to revitalize this group. Inject some young blood idmc.

He has spoken to us about GATT becoming involved with them. good idea, definitely.

like crixx said, definitely good for career mobility if you're into that sort of thing.

The president of the society name is jaggaunat or something so and he was starting off his speech talking bout if we know what a slide ruler is.

Then he went on to talk bout how long he has been in the IT industry and THENNN he was like, i remember when calculators was now invented...

and i was like WTF he jus say? when WHAT was just invente?? calculators??? OMFGGG!! ahahahah

you can become a student member now while you still earning your degree dude, and as a student you waive membership fee

I have registered, got a username and password etc, activated account etc, however i don't see anywhere to log in. Is that option only available when the yearly subscription is paid? BTW i signed as a student.
