I don't think Pain is going to die in Konoha, never did.
Kishi hinted alot of things last year and this wasn't one of them. I really don't think Pain will die till next year at least. But he will face off with Naruto and be very surprised at Naruto's power. Konoha in general will run him off. Tsunade will die.
But the real showdown will still be yet to take place.

Well there is still suspicions as to whether the 'real' pain is even amougnst the bodies he's using at present. Even if all the bodies were defeated, chances are he has other reserves. I expect a combined konoha front to push pain back. I don't expect many of pains bodies to be defeated if any at all, and i'm still up in the air over whether tsunade will bite the dust yet or not... things going good atm, I hope the pace keeps up.

bleach was failure this week so we will have to ride on the promise of goodness from next weeks naruto

i really thought iruka was dead there and i really think tsunade knows its in her fate to die in that fite, maybe to save kakashi sensei?

i believed he was reffering to the statement sum1 (dunno if is u) made that raikage etc would need to help...

everybody else agreed that the defense of konoha would rest in the hands of the entire village

and then i believe naruto would come in to the end to chase of pein

Like I said Crixx, Pain isn't going to die now. Naruto will bring him down single handedly at the end, but it won't be in Konoha.
Nagato isn't even in Konoha as far as we know so even if all those Pain bodies are killed he can just create a new crew as he probably have a next squad on ice back home.

that doggy raikiri was pretty hardmatic

its pretty clear that kishi is gonna sacrifice more people to get naruto all hot and bothered and have a big nasty battle

but if we are lucky
sakura will be the sacrifice and not kakashi

It makes political sense , no kakashi or Tsunadae leaves Danzou to rule the village.

Kakashi should live hopefully , he still has the MS trump card to play to save himself at least.

Naruto will eventually find his way , home , its just a matter of how much of konoha is left standing when he arrives.

This reminds me of Kakashi Gaiden when Yondaime was the one who came to save the day , its an interesting parallel as Naruto is finally taking up his father's mantle as protector , and may even end up saving kakashi.

Anyone else realize the single 'new' frame with naratu has him standing in front of what looks like large trees... SLICED... if I had to guess what he's been working on, it's a rasenshiruken using a combination of natual energy, his chakra (if we're REALLY lucky the demon chakra) and most likely it's a Krillin type destructo disc attack. It's the only thing that makes sense, seeing as he can't use it as normal (does to much damage on self) and seeing as the single frame showed things sliced in the distance as well... the final evolution of the Rasengan has cometh.

Pein getting on as crixx would put it, REAL HARDMATIC, it was nice to see kakashi do nature/shape manipulation on that level and things looking rough for Konoha atm... I also bet they going to go after dem chakra poles in each of pein's bodies as they are surely part of his secret.

I wonder if those poles are all that's connecting Nagato to the bodies?
Think about it a sec, he uses rinnegan to see what the bodies see and then transmits his orders via the poles...idk. Knock out the poles and maybe these mofos will drop.

I don't think kakashi will die, Kishi said last year that Kakashi was going to see some big moves.
