Imagine that eh.  When I posted that, I was still on a dual-core, socket-939 AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800, and my trusty
Nvidia GeForce 6800 GS.

Look how far we've come in just about 3 years.

...and it was confirmed at E3 2009 that Alan Wake is an Xbox 360 exclusive 'for now' anyway.
That does suck, because this game was touted on the PC as the poster-child for quad-core
(read 'multithreaded') processing.

Alan Wake PC confirmed.....Yay?

Alan Wake launches on PC during the first quarter of 2012, Remedy has announced.

The Finnish developer said during a press conference in London this afternoon that the game will launch on Steam.

A single screenshot, below, has been released.

The announcement was made at London's Nokia House, as Remedy VP Aki Järvilehto spoke about the company's adoption of digital distribution.

The PC version of Alan Wake will come packaged with The Signal and The Writer, the two well-received DLC add-ons for the game.

Barely even care again.  :shakehead:

With an 83.65% meta score??

http://www.gamerankings.com/xbox360/928006-alan-wake/index.html

I'd still be interested

Especially if the PC version offers more eye candy, despite being a year or two late.

It also goes to show that the PC platform is recovering. The digital download marketplace is turning out to be quite the treasure trove with favourable economics for developers and publishers (and gamers!)

The more the merrier.

Well I actually borrowed a friend's 360 to play it when it was released. That's the reason why I don't care much anymore.

But I'll definitely be playing it again once released on the PC.

Did not get around to playing it when I had my 360. That was the only game I regretted not playing when I had it so now, good times. Especially if it is coming with improved graphics.

+1 Remedy. I'd buy it.

As for graphical tweaking and customizations, this is what PC users can expect:
"We are still finalising the options, but the players can naturally adjust resolution, run in full screen or windowed and change numerous graphics quality settings such as anti-aliasing, FXAA, shadow quality, draw distance and so on."

If so, this game is a MUST BUY then.  :/
