Ive jus watched the first episode of this new series called HEROES...........Its jus great......

Yeh, I saw it last night. It was real good. It reminded me a little of the first Spider-Man in the way they were discovering their powers. It is the first show I will probably watch on a regular basis since Dark Angel (Jessica Alba - 'nuff said). I hope they do the same thing with the commercials for the rest of season. I think the encore is at 8 though (according to TV Guide's website).

ok just watched it

definately a cross between 4400 and lost.
Powers plus interconnected life stories and mysteries.

Love the fact it has a nice japanese root.
So far no black people, but i see on the homepage they have a write up of it and there is supposed to be a gunta lookin black man in it so that should fill the token black quota.

Love love love the comic book feel of it.
Reminds me alot of ultraverse and the freeks.
how they got their powers and how they started off.

Macro cellular regeneration is awesome.
N00bs dont know how to utilise true flight though, sad.
Have no idea how to class that mirror thing with ali larter,who BTW is WAYYYY too sexy for this show. I mean did yall see the a$$ she packin now? when she grow dat? damnn...
she an amy smart are supposed to be best friends, just a reference,lol.

Yeah closest thing i could think of with the mirror thing , is that it is some sort of psycho kinetic projection of her inner mind.

Remote possiblity is that she has latent witch ability that is allowing her to channel a familiar or doppelganger to do the dirty work for her.

Of course japanese dude (whos name is HIRO btw, very very cute pun there, these guys passed english class, yayy), with the space/time manipulation is just awesome!!

He is well rooted in comic lore, so he has a great mindset for use of his powers, he may turn out to be the most advanced of them, having some idea of what he can do with his powers from the start.

The precog guy is pretty cool, aside from being a pre cog, which is always cool, hes a pretty amazing artist, id have to say those were some of the most amazing paintings ive ever seen.

Macro cellular girl will become usefull when she learns that her role will be to become a tank
pushing the limits of her body with macro cellular regeneration and thus being able to tank most damage that would be inflicted on her.

Aside from the heroes, we have shady government type characters showing themselves.
Iam hoping that they wont be the main nemesis of the heroes, cause i mean, thats just not pushing it far enuff.

Kinda lame though that they have the the macro cellular regen girl and her family in texas(lone star state) and no texan accent. Nor the Vegas girl and small man with no nevada accent.
Small man probably has hyper intelligence as well.
But i mean, wda , who they tryin to fool?

anyone notice a fab in his living room? how de ass he was MAKIN ah next mobo, lol lol.

Oh wait i now realise, the gunta lookin black man is the small man father, and he have powers too
either camo or maybe ability to turn himself into vapour,orr maybe hyper speed. meh.

There is a police officer on the website shown that also didnt make an appearance in the pilot, but is said to have telepathy. Interesting.

Hope there are more characters though.
That isnt a very well rounded team. They have no damage dealers, except for slice people in half girl and they have no ranged casters, again except for slice people in half girl. Well we assume that they were sliced in half by the glass shattering and being projected at them and not the other possibility that something stepped out of the mirror, broke the glass and cut them in half with the shards.

oH did i mention that i lOVEEE the comic book references!!! t0000 sicko!! i gonna go try and download that issue of xmen hiro was talking about

i suspect that the indian guy's purpose will be to attempt to unite these people to have them learn more about themselves, while he and the rest of the world learns as well, and in so doing form a team.

but of course some of them will not want to use their powers at all and become reluctant heroes and then their may be the ones who will even use them for ill and then those who just use them for self gratification.

I was upset, cuz I missed it both times....BUT...I just saw that it's on SCIFI on Friday, and on the new UPN thing on Monday (I think).....so plenty of chances to see first episode if you missed it.

finally got to watch the pilot tonight.

definitely a good start.

Hiro is just plain hilarious. Man sounding like Chun Li.

Already reasoned that the cellular regen girl's real parents must be Wolverine and Anna Nicole Smith. That would explain her regen and lack of brains (from moms)

ent @ noobs not mastering flight. They looked as coordinated in the air as a one foot dog in the sea.

my only complaint thus far is the overuse of "coincidence" as a shock value vehicle.

As seen in Prison Break, Lost and 4400. Everything and everyone seems to be connected by the invisible lines of fate.

It's been overdone in those three series and Heroes looks to be heading down the same path.

You'd think the world was a 10x10 sand box the way the characters keep running into each other. lol

I would choose the cheerleader over the single mom any day. I mean, the mom might seem a lil bit hotter, but the cheerleader is much better looking. Then again, you talking at least 10 years difference in age between them. Imagine what the cheerleader would look like in 10 years ... Now you talking. It makes me wish I was 10 years younger, yes. By the way, she was the voice of Kairi in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 and Tati from Mark of Kri. Extra points for that.
