Get up real early: Annular (Solar) Eclipse 22 Sept 2006

for ye early birds who interested:

last solar eclipse for the year starts at 5:57am and ends at 7am.... those living in the east or on the very top of hills surrounded by flat land have thebetter chance of seeing it.

lol...well I'm already up and ready to go, gonna make a trip down Manzanilla Beach to get some pics of it, since there will be THE best vantage point in Trinidad at least...

dread i get up ans in see one a$$, just sun in me eye, it anit look no different. i living maloney btw, no mountains blocking my view.

well I go conclude that Trinidad was too far north for us to see it properly.... all I get was sun in me eye ala Michael Maurice....Mayaro woulda be the ideal location to hope for a glimpse..

Oh well maybe next year

Well I was on Manzanilla beach from about 5:40am, there was some cloud cover, but still got a good look at it for about 6am...at that point there was about 60% eclipse, which was just about the maximum level of 2/3 eclipse...

The best pic to highlight the eclipse had to be taken through filters, so it doesn't look that impressive on picture...but I'm waiting for some pics from my dad, he would have been in range for 100% eclipse...

Either way, it was quite impressive, though the really nice one for us to view will be quite in 2038, where Trinidad will be under the direct path of an annular solar eclipse...
