So what about other content like themes, etc.? After my 30 days of PS+ expire, those go along with all the free exclusive goodies too?

Yea any themes, avatars or game add-ons you get from PS+ will remain with you even after it expires. It's only the free games you get with PS+ that expire.
Anything you buy discounted with PS+ you also keep. PS+ has some nice discounts every now and then.

Looking at those 'free' games now...I think it would have been better to just give everyone
a $50 US credit for the PSN Store to buy anything you want.

That might involve a little more 'planning', but it's just a suggestion.
The PSN community is really divided on this one. While many are elated
with what's on offer here, there is an almost equal number of those
who think it's an absolute joke, and a further attempt to snag more wallets
with that PSN+ 'deal'.

I certainly won't die without Sony, and no one is holding me at gunpoint, so this 'welcome back' package is just 'OK' at best.

This is the one time I will agree fully with Blu_Vice.

yea it not bad at all but the better option would have been to let the ppl choose themselves

i go stop buying things from the PS store , starting to realise a pattern

It just sucks that other people are getting to benefit more out of this when alot of customers purchased the games before at full price and getting "less" out of the customer appreciation.
O well... If that's how it remains. Can't do nothing yes.

At least my PSPgo gonna get some love out of this.

Sony knew full well them games 'ole like de road', and are not going to make any money
off of em again, so they just palm that off on us. A lot of day 1 PS3 supporters have most,
or all, of the games listed there, so guess what? A lot of folks don't even care for this now.

They're just glad that PSN is up.

How cool would it have been if they offered games that people would actually be fiending
to play, like Killzone 2, or even Street Fighter, or Tekken. Instead we get 'Little Big Planet'.

DCUO just released on the PS store a while back, altho i already have it, i think instead of d tief head PS+ subscriptions that really only good for betas and measly discounts and u hadda keep renewing the subscription every month just to keep d lil minis and PSN games (most of which arent the good 1s) they shud offer DCUO as a free game with a 30 day subscription if they wanna lure ppl into renewing subscriptions so much

at least i can see more ppl might look into renewing their DCU subscription if they get d game free and a month test drive to see what it about, never know alot of console peeps never tried an MMO, i was one of em , skeptical to fork out money on DCUO but when i played it i loved it

Mass Effect 2 would have been another game to add to that list that just recently became available for PS3 why not organise to put that up?

it have so much more updated games sony could have offered than those on that list
or let d ppl choose their 2 picks from the store

who REALLY gonna take LBP1 when LBP2 blows it miles away?

jizzinpants because they 'gave' it to us...especially in light of the fact that LBP2 is out as well.

Lets face it...there are lots of us out there that don't care one whit for LBP in any form.

As for the credit thing, it's not like they're giving away actual money, and I'm sure
we all would have preferred this to what we're getting now. It's not like they can't
'afford' it.

In short - more choice. Always better for the consumer.

i certainly agree with your more choice they... choosing from 5 games is limited...

they could've @ least offered some more titles, but say what...

and the wont give credit cuz they need to control it... if they give credit most certainly we would use it on the current best sellers lol... so sony would end up having to pay developers... for the games that they offered...they not selling right now neways so they could afford to do that...

Bound to have millions with those 5 games or a majority of them.

The old games they are offering is debatable. I loved all those games, (don't have dead nation), and glad people who never bought em can play em.
Just silly that those that bought them, don't get another option =/.
