Indeed, i personally dont give a rats ass bout compensation, fix yuh shit and let we swet lolol. But it totally understandble ppl wanting compensation. And compensation could come in many forms. What i want from sony, is to regain my confidence in dem. Dey have to do something special for d gamers, ratch dey scene if you will.

Otherwise i will watch d ps4 with 1 eye open. And i done take so long to buy ah ps3 to begin with lol.

Take d magicka team for instance, dey game come out wiht ah seta bugs, what dey do?
Offer free dlc , and some bonus content in d game.

Sony not legally obligated, but they should be morally obligated to regain they customers support.

Sony has a lot to make up for...it's that simple.  Even more so for PS+ members.

Their future as a worthwhile competitor (to Xbox Live) now hinges on what is done from this point on, in terms of customer service.  Yes PSN is 'free', but it's touted as a major reason to buy a PS3, so some form of compensation is necessary, as a measure of goodwill.

They simply cannot half-ass it either.  It has to be meaningful, and worthy too.

I'm waiting to see just how gracious Sony can be.

It is used to market and drive sales of d unit. Some men bought PS3s solely for online play.

Are you serious is that a real argument. A company can cancel any service they like, once it does not violate any contractual agreement between the user and the company, your blizzard example is total BS blizzard can stop B.Net whenever they feel like it, but they don't because it's a cash cow cause it's not like they make there money off of copies sold.

Slaming and Wintry get real eh. Sony offered a serice as part of there PS3 Console. And dey SHOULD compensate ppl for it. Weather money, weather free content, weather what. Is sony blunder, d right thing to do , is try to make gamers happy. Everybody should be up in arms, to ensure we get d best service possible.
If my company resonspible for a network, and it get hack, we will make sure the customer is happy, even doh it coming out we own pocket.

Dis is a competative business, and with xbox 360 doing so well, nintendo getting ready to lash, and pc games still flooding, sony NEEDs to make they customers happy, otherwise yuh go be hearing bout this for years to come, and some men will jus jump ship, as im sure alot of ppl already considering for future purchases.

Customer service sucks ass in trinidad, because ppl does settle for shit. Over here i does see man sending back whole meals, becuase d bacon wasnt cook good, or some crap lolol, and men getin brand new meal with discount all kinda thing. Yuh eat some wings, and yuh din find it fry good?, dat not coming on your bill. If i tell somebody in trinidad dat burger wasnt done good, dey go watch meh like ah have shit on meh nose lol.

Putting it another way, as was mentioned earlier, they have no legal requirement to keep PSN going. They could pull the plug at anytime, it is a free service right? This is obviously something they would not dare do, at least on purpose. Imagine the kind of damage that is being done with this outage in terms of goodwill.

We all acknowledge that PSN is inferior to XBL and this incident reminds me of the saying "you get what you pay for". Don't get me wrong they should offer some sort of compensation, to what degree? who knows. At the same time however isn't the bigger issue here the lack of security on your personal data.
