A source close to PS3-sense is claiming Sony will introduce a serial key system for PS3 games, like the one already in place with PC games.
I hope this is just a rumor imagine the implications this would have on game rentals and used game sales if it proves to be true. I would go ahead and blame the hackers, they just making things hard for ppl who actually support sony and third party developers by purchasing their games legally.
I for one fully endorse console hacking. Yess allyuh hack them to death. Means that 'piracy' wont be an excuse for why PC is paid MUCH less reverence than it deserves. Then finally we can breed ALL the children of the 90's and 20's into the PC gaming master race, forget all this dirty peasant console gaming nonsense and all will be well with the world once again.
dnt blame the hackers... everything was nice and cool and nobody was tryin to hack ps3 when they were allowed to run they own software... they will just break this too... and sony wont realise is the paying people that will suffer.. and stop paying... i'd prolly sell my ps3 and get a xbox if thats the case

Actually the industry would LOVE to stamp out used game sales. They do not profit from that thus a serial key model would force second hand users to pony up cash for access. That is one of the reasons why digital downloads are marketed so heavily, can't sell used game downloads lol.
