Sony playing smart, they probably hoping that this makes any announcement of a WiiHD in the future a moot point.  Still given that the price point of a WiiHD would be less than the price of a PS3+Move+extra PSWiimote, I don't think the big N will be affected much.

I must say though, I liked that LBP thing, perfect way to get the gf/wife involved imo.

There's no 'download' at all.  Everything is on the disc.  You are essentially paying
for a few kb of unlock code.

Its up to you to decide if its worth paying for.  My views on this are well documented.

When you purchase the DLC it tells you the size of the file and it takes people living in Trinidad hours to download....ask anyone on here that have bought DLC, map packs etc...

I can't say for PC, but I would assume it would have been the same...I guess not.... :S

Well, Blu, I was thinking about sending it abroad (gophermods.com), then I thought briefly about customs wanting to charge much higher than the actual repair cost upon return. Then I thought there won't be an invoice with the PS3's value anyhow. Still locally might be quicker and less of a shipping risk. However abroad might be better in the long run... the repair price is cheaper too. *Sigh* She keeled over at a rel bad time. But anyhow when I get my thoughts together and make up my mind I'll set aside the funds for that and MAG. For now though for me it's *shudder* Runescape. lol.

Thanks for the option... but I figure that at TT$1,000 I'll send it to gophermods (US$69.99) and I doubt the shipping expenses will take me too close to TT$1,000 anyhow. So locally might be quicker and easier but I think the long-term benefits of repairing with them out-weigh the ease. Again, many thanks for the contribution.

Ok a little survey here.
Back when I upgraded to Flow...PSN downloads used to run at max flow capacity. 6mb connection = about 750kb/s. So everything was nice. It was so fast that my PC couldn't load any web pages as the PS3 using all the bandwidth lol. When we got upgraded to 10mb connection...It was full capacity also for like 3months.

After that and up to today the speeds have gone ridiculously downhill. From my estimation..download speeds I get are at max 250kb/s.
So I really want to know if Flow throttling my speeds...or if its PSN limiting download speeds etc.

Fellaz on blink connections higher than 2mb. Download speeds are at your line capacity?
Blu_Vice..you get full 15mb download speedS? aka your psn downloads downloading at over 1megabyte a second?

Its not that I "not" getting my bandwidth. I download from servers like rapidshare, apple etc at full line capacity (1-1.2mb/s)...its just with PSN and as mentioned on other threads...youtube videos load slow as hell.
