I just read that the Killzone 2 demo is exclusive only to ppl who preorder it at gamespot. Isn't that kinda stupid. The point of a demo is to get ppl excited to make a purchase for your product, not to give it only to ppl who have already committed to buying.

did u also know the Euro store is gettin da demo no strings attached, i got multiple accounts on my ps3 in different regions jus sign up for a EU account if u really want the demo

so if i hav an account from euro the demos are different from US?

they're not different content wise.
Pretty much the same.

Euro demos are usually bigger in size due to the various languages included in their demos.

Its great to ave a Euro account though...they get some nice trailers and video footage that sometimes never appear on the US store.

Yup i saw it. my only complaint I wish the segment was longer because I wanted more!!

ok somewhere in d article has SOCOM as being one of sony strong 08 games b4 ppl hate an say SOCOM sucked it got low scores let inform u that was SOCOM wen it now launched (yes it sucked they released it b4 it was ready but NOW SOCOM runs rather smooth since its been patched)

This is true and Blu is correct. The patches have made the game run smoother. However, a game that launched poorly usually carries a stigma. When you hear about SOCOM for PS3 the immediate response is "didnt that game get so-so reviews? Something bout bugs"

which leads you into having to tell them that they issued patches for the game to fix these said issues. Truth is, if the person doesnt know that SOCOM didnt fix their issues chances are they were never interested in the game in the first place.

Usually if someone is anticipating a title, then hears it doesnt do well because of bugs they wait for a patch or get the game anyway and bear with it till it is patched (SOCOM, Crysis, Bully, Gears 2, Castle Crashers...etc etc). The ones that done know are usually the ones that have moved on to something else.

For these buggy games you CANNOT have your internal team testing them for a final prognosis, and you CANNOT have random Joe and Bob from the street testing a game they are not interested it. If its for focus demographic sure, but get those that play the game competitively either casually and professionally to test the games bugs. The SOCOM release was poor management, and not enough time alloted to QA and propper testing. We all know SOCOM is a big franchise for SONY, dropping the ball on release caused SOMEONE @ss to get shafted, hence one of the reasons why SONY just hand 1600 men their pink slips this week.

i for one hate wen ppl disturb me wen i playin game competitive games , so cross game chat might not b my thing (an as i previously said in another thread this leads to sum cheatin in games like gears2 etc), someone playin a totally different game tellin me stuff dat hav nothin to do wit my game kinda annoyin

as all 360 owners will tell you '360 have better games'. i know a few people who got rrod and still stand by the 360. i for one cannot support that financially. if i had the money to spare i would take a chance with it.
also live is better. remember when we didnt have trophies and they had their points and gamercard? i can see why that would make it better since i am naturally competitive. it's nice to be able to compare your ability with friends cuz everyone wants to be the  best

define "better" in terms of games and live cuz like i said previously cross game chat i can do without doh wah nobody tellin me "waaayy if yuh see da bess goal ah score" while i being beastly in R2 , breaks my concentration an focus, cross game invite YES i can do wit dat so wen u say better state sumting dat is better about it dat justifies $50US a year cuz i tryin to figure it out for a long while an d 360 ppl doh help either they jus say it better an leave it like dat

as for games i wudnt say so either it depends on wat u like, M$ had a year headstart so they hav MORE games, better wud b your personal preference.

imo ps3 has the better games TACTICS wise ( Warhawk, MGO, SOCOM and soon to b released KZ2) these games take alot of strategy & communication, only games that i can think of off d top of my head on d 360 side is the MLG playlist in Halo3 and mayb Gears

PS: trophies/achievements doesn't prove u r da "best" , dont get me wrong i like it jus doesn't prove u r da "best"

I dont see anything wrong with people having a preference of what they consider tactical. Everything Blu_Vice put up there is tactical, but EVERY multiplayer that is played often is tactical, they ALL require a plan and a form of logical decision. Balance is a HUGE issue now. I've played Unreal for almost 8 years and I can DEFINITELY say that is a tactical game, when you play teams on infiltration and assault you DEFINITELY need a plan, just for ANY game that involves multiplayer. Its always a balance issue with the characters you play.
Friggin Left 4 Dead multiplayer both co op And vs needs tactics. The Multiplayer is CHANGING. People are preferring different CLASSES rather than just different weapons (Team Fortress 2).

As far as MLG.......the 360 dominates on all fronts. There are 2 guys in my school that are MLG........Rettro for HALO 3 sponsored by Intel and DeepSeaEagle for Rainbow Six Vegas sponsored by ATi/AMD. Rettro (Mike) is a personal friend i've known for about 4 years now. The guy sets up his own LIVE tourneys. Some long time LIVE friends (from reg XBOX days) can tell you when we had a sweat friday i would dive into their games and train with them. Would loose like a noob in MLG training, but kick @SS in a sweat.

Their words, NOT mine...."you don't own a 360, you are in the minority, the tournaments have changed, and you have to change with them"

Pro gaming is a different front altogether. Gaming is expensive, and training for pro gaming is expensive and time consuming....that is how it is.
