Is it? I don't have an Xbox 360 so I don't know but lack of innovation aside wouldn't that be good for PS3 owners? If you are going to copy might as well be from someone who has implemented it sucessfully.

I didn't say it wasn't going to be good for PS3 owners, heck latest rumor is that Microsoft is copying the Wiimote with a Wiimote styled controller due out this Christmas...Innovation is meant to be copied...LOL

my ps3 froze the first time I slipped it in, Audio continued but cutscene was frozen, I pulled it out, wiped the disc and it played perfectly. Also guys , incase you don't know, If your ps3 freezes with any games eject the disc first before restarting or shutting down. it can damage your ps3 inside when the disc sorta grinds.

Ok having experienced the freezing problems let me break it down for anyone considering getting it. I have a 40gb so the issues might be better or worse with the other versions.

1. If I am not signed onto the PSN and insert the disc it works flawless. Absolutely no freezing or sticking. I played a good few hours Friday night and its all good.

2. If I sign on to the PSN and then insert the disc it starts up but sticks forever at the loading screen. I then goto quit game and it actually causes the PS3 to reset at which point once it is reset it loads the game automatically and works good (since I have auto sign-on turned off).

3. If I am not signed on to the PSN and load the game and then goto multiplayer it prompts to connect to the PSN at which point it freezes and I have to physically turn the system off.

However there are a few times when it actually ran when I was connected and I was able to play online.
Playing online is cool except I was lagging a lot (which is due to my shitty connection).

For single player right now there is no problems at all once I ensure I dont connect to the PSN. The few times I was able to play multiplayer it was good but I really bought it for the single player experience so until they release a patch I'm ok.

I beleive connecting to the PSN uses a bit of memory that stays resident which sometimes GTA 4 tries to access and hence the freezing.
