Ok guys...confirmed...
False alarm at Orange Box being messed up for PS3....
1up was just being retarded...or really had a early distribution of the game...
There are framerate issues...but not that bad as stated....

Shivering Isles Finally Comes To PSN

We’re happy to announce that The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles is available as downloadable content on Playstation Network for $30. This is the English version for North America.

Please note Shivering Isles requires the Oblivion PS3 disc to play. In fact, you can even use the Oblivion Game of the Year PS3 disc too - though, if you own Oblivion Game of the Year (GOTY), you already have Shivering Isles, so don’t purchase Shivering Isles off PSN if you have GOTY. The version of Shivering Isles on PSN is exactly the same as the version in GOTY. I promise.

Getting Shivering Isles to work as downloadable content on the PS3 via PSN (and as a standalone disc!) was a challenging task. Thanks to our technical director, Guy Carver, who did the bulk of the implementation himself. Also thanks for Chris Krietz, our QA Lead, and his group of terrific testers - those guys have been playing the same game in all its iterations for close to two years now.

New Resistance Map Pack Out

Map pack two, which contains Axebridge and Bracknell, will cost $4.99. For time being, the maps will be available via the standard PLAYSTATION Store and not the in-game ‘Purchase’ option. We are also releasing a bundle of both this and the first map pack together, which will run $7.99.

PS3 Wins November In Japan

While they might have dipped a bit this past week, but you don't have to win every battle to win the war. According to Enterbrain, the PlayStation 3 came out on top in monthly sales over the Wii for the month of November, pushing 183,217 consoles to Nintendo's 159,193. This marks the first time Sony came out on top since the PS3's release last November. Is this an indication that Sony is returning to its former glory in Japan? Analyst Hiroshi Kamide of KBC Securities isn't convinced.
Quote
"It's nice to see the system selling much better than six months ago. But is it a sustainable trend? Is it going to really escalate from here? I'm not so sure."

Im pretty sure as long as the sales spiked like they did in Japan this month they will increase....pretty much a no brainer. 1 the fad is "catching on" and 2 the gamers are giving PS3 a chance rather than "dat ting too expensiva na" bs talk.

Yea, I'll be on that bandwagon soon, I only wish they would include a GOOD HDMI cable... damnit.

Ok finished Assassins creed and the game is so FCUKING good I cant wait for part 2. Anyway friday around 2pm so i took the plunge and ran down to my nearest game store and copped 2 games, so i got Uncharted and Ratchet and clank.
Uncharted is soo good the shooting the duck and cover the platforming it's like wow but one problem it's freaking short man i started about 4pm on friday and played for a while then played a little on Saturday and lo and behold  sunday morning around 11 i was done. What has me so angry is the fact that i was enjoying it so much and then like a slap in the face it finishes I feel so dirty and cheap like a 3 dollar whore (Gotta find me one of thoes).
Anyway i started ratchet and clank and I like it will keep you posted.

It seems that the few good games the PS3 does have aren't very long.

I'm not bashing or anything but just what it appears to be from the messages in this forum.

funny people talk about game length. For me its just right. Maybee because i dont have days to sit down and play a game for hours and hours on end (WOW excluded).
I usually play a max of about 4 hours a day.....either one shot (in the case of Mass Effect) or through the day.

Besides i prefer quality over quantity.

Preach the word BROTHER!! LOL
Same here, Men have no time these days to play especially when engaged and chained up
in relationships, so 4 Hours is HELL long!

i would agree with you to a point, but i would also need to consider the price i paid for a game before determining if it was long enough.
Remember that we do not have the benefit of Gamefly here in the region as yet so for us all games would have to be either purchases or those borrowed from a 'padna'. And if it is you buy it and it ends in under 5 hours... well

Aye, daiz a good business plan right there, I thought there would already be game rentals like Gamefly there...Hmmmmmm....

I just got my Hands on Assassin's Creed and going to plat it in a few minutes, to tell the truth though I've been using my ps3 more for ps2 gaming (dirt cheap games now) since my ps2 died.  Might not be the top thing on most people list but thank Sony they put it in, well older models atleast.

In the "Ask Michael Bay" sub-forum, a user complained about the unavailability of Bay's movies on the Blu-ray format, one backed by Sony and standard on PlayStation 3s.

Bay:
Quote
What you don't understand is corporate politics. Microsoft wants both formats to fail so they can be heroes and make the world move to digital downloads. That is the dirty secret no one is talking about. That is why Microsoft is handing out $100 million dollar checks to studios just embrace the HD DVD and not the leading, and superior Blu Ray. They want confusion in the market until they perfect the digital downloads. Time will tell and you will see the truth.

there was a time when Bay said if they don't put Transformers on Blur-ray he would stop making Transformers 2.  Wonder what happened there.  You know I still buy Regular dvd's really don't see the need to pay $10 more for a prettier picture.

Stick with DVD. The larger the TV the more you need to amp up resolution.

DVD doesnt look as good on my 47 inch. Blu Ray and HD DVD is what i go to now. When you can walk RIGHT UP TO THE SCREEN and see detail and not pixels then you know.

Another note......Transformers looks HELLA better on my 47 inch than it did in the theatre....detail like you couldnt believe.
