Blu-ray players still go for over $1000USD

the cheapest i saw was 800...

so PS3 is the cheap Blu-Ray player right now...

Well there we go Blu-Ray is 599....

PS3 still does more and is still basically cheaper in a theoretical way...

Sony's "semi-official" blog Three Speech (http://threespeech.com/blog/?p=377) claims that the release dates for a handful of hotly anticipated PlayStation 3 games have been narrowed down to September.

"That's when we'll see Heavenly Sword, the ultra-responsive arena-based swordfighting game, innovative dragon-fighting game Lair and the air, foot and vehicle combat game Warhawk, which is still looking likely to be released over the PlayStation Network rather than in the shops," according to the latest posting on the site. "First-person shooter Killzone, too, should surface in September, as well as the first PS3 version of Ratchet & Clank."

The post also makes a few eyebrow-raising mentions of the PS3 receiving an "HD-ised" port of the PlayStation 2 title Wipeout Fusion, as well as Irrational Games' BioShock. This is especially surprising, as Microsoft announced at its X06 event in Barcelona last year that Irrational Games' submerged shooter would be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PC. Chosen by GameSpot editors as the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006 Game of the Show, Bioshock was originally slated to be released on the PC and "next-generation console systems."

When contacted for comment by GameSpot, a Sony representative pointed out that Three Speech is a semi-official blog handled by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and said the only game on the list with a confirmed US date is Lair, which should arrive in July.

I agree the generation is software based rather than hardware but the real question is who game developers would want to develop for. If they want power they gonna go ps3 or Xbox ( possibly both ) Nintendo i think basically stick to their exclusives which we all know are very well worth it ( at least zelda ) . But i think this generation developers realising that it makes more money to develop for multiple consoles so it all comes down to what your preference is ( between xbox and ps3 ) Nintendo have their exclusives so i wouldnt include them.

Nah i just saying in nintendos past consoles i aint really see much mature games thats why you gonna get more on xbox on ps3. But on a side not nintendo really dissapointing me because they putting mario in almost all of there games. Mario Basketball fine, Mario Baseball i coul live with it but when u do a mario DDR ( Dance Dance Revolution ) Thats going to far.

Ok first of all not all mario fans are DDR fans and to those who dont like DDR putting mario in DDR is pretty much disgracing the character. Besides that though i really hate the fact that nintendo has to put him in so many games i mean they have other good games and they dont need him in so many games. But i guess the kids see mario whether the game is good or not theyll buy it.

Woot Apprentice i got my ps3 man it workin real boss online have no lag at all ( this was suprising ) I tested it with 16 players on COD but cant wait to see how it would lag with 40 players on resistance

boy i ask for elder scrolls 4 with my game and my uncle couldnt find it so he buy COD 3 so i stuck with 2 fps. I just get the elton brand and all pieces of daedric armor in Elder scrolls 3 so i got nothin left to do lol

well i never play any of the elder scrolls from before...

I just saw this game get like the best reviews Iever see for a game...

+ is game of the year 2006

and reviews saying like "Run, Do not Walk... Run and Buy this Game"

Plus I rel interested in this type of game... So I decide on it... I probably have to wait a week or so again for it...

Trust me when I say this ... You want Oblivion. It is the most amazing RPG I have played in a long time. I have it for 360 and I guess the PS3 version will be basically the same. The graphics alone make you want to slow down and just look around at the scenery. I had never played any Elder Scrolls before but it is your standard old-school type of RPG. I tend to like those because I grew up with them from pen and paper D&D to PC RPG's.
