I know some people had the blu-ray drive failure on their PS3's on here.
My cousin Slysuki'S ps3 stopped reading blu-ray discs recently.

Ya'll know of local options and prices for a replacement/fix? Or do i have to order down the blu-ray drive/lens and replace it.

Yea he has an 80gb Motorstorm bundle backwards compatible system.
It's reading DVD's and CD's..no blu-ray. Randomly reads blu-ray though, last I heard.

I have the reverse problem it reads bluray games and movies but not dvds. Is this worth fixing?

not really since games are all blu-ray, but it if you can have it fixed might as well just in case it's a progressive problem.

Seems it costs about 900 locally to replace the PS3 laser. I'll leave it as is, I'm ok with it just playing blurays.

So i got my ps3 a while back now and have been playing street fighter 4 on the network but wow its slow... y is this and what can i do to boost performance...  i have a 25mb line from flom and the ps3 is on a shelf just below the wireless n router... i usually have downloads but naturally i pause them while playing... also i only supply my ps3 wii n laptop with the wireless but not all at once... when i run a speedtest i get my full 24.5 thereabouts download and my 1mb up with a 35ping... or do we have a trini server?

JD, flow to flow street fighter should be smooth as silk.

flow to blink might be a little slow but still playable.

How many bars you're getting to players? Yellows and Greens?

Or you seeing just reds?

You on Super Street Fighter IV? or Just Street Fighter IV?

Doesn't the PS3 only do 802.11g... you'll never see the full 25Mbps from Flow on a 'G' wireless connection...

Connect via LAN and your performance should improve.

bandwidth shouldn't be the problem at all. Latency would be.

I've played smooth street fighter on the ps3 with a 10mb connection. Flow to Flow.

That said, you'll get better latency from connecting via LAN as opposed to wireless (marginally so but better all the same)

I want this SO bad eh. More so than GT5 in a way. Hopefully I'll get it for Christmas. One of my good friends might get it as well so we could hook up for multiplayer.

played the beta for AC:B.....gets boring for me after a while
same thing yuh doin over and over and it kinda hard to really defend yuhself in the FFAs
as soon as u kill a man a man right there to kill u and kinda hard to know who after u unless the person chasin u is a complete dumbass and just runnin about the map or scaling buildings in plain sight

FFAs more based on luck from what i played, the team one was a lil better as u only hadda watch for 4 specific characters and u have someone watchin ur back

^yea I wasn't a big fan of the FFA mode for those reasons. Really want this for the story though. AC2 had an epic ending and I just wanna know what happens next.

actually not a fan of ffa's either, but the alliance and the other team matches are the shiznits. covering yuh partners and setting traps never gets old.

well i dont got the game lol
only played the beta liked it the 1st day i played it and thought it was badass........then played some more and realized how repetitive it is so i skipped it

to be fair tho i wouldnt have the time to play it anyway with BO, GT5 and FIFA 10 doin a fine job of killin time till kz3 arrives
