All depends on what your game preferences are. That Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta demo alone should hold anyone's attention until next year.

There's also  the Lost Planet 2 mp demo, which is short, but pretty good.

When you set up your account, you can just check out the demo section of the PSN Store.

i still sweating the world at war demo, the bayonetta demo real hard. Still haven't mastered all the combos as yet, Hoss if you a football fan just link a li'l fifa 10 it wicked.

LBP suppose to hav a demo, i doubt BFBC2 beta wud hold u out till nex year march tho
is 1 map and 1 mode unless u rel bored i doubt playin that over and over for 3 months wud suffice.

other demos Fat Princess, Trine , Ratchet hav 2 demos, Brutal Legend, NFS Shift, FIFA 10, Ninja gaiden sigma 2 etc

left out d shooters since u said platformers are more ur thing
added sum action and racing

sheltech does hav used games for $150-$200
used games dont cost over $200 by them

if they do cross game chat or private chat like xbl they need to keep it out certain games/playlists like wat IW did
ppl go start LVL cheating in socom, u2 etc in no respawn games

SVER is d only real competition an das mainly cuz their bases setup perfect for them to defend easy, whereas mc raven an valor hav sum wide open bases where u can atk at all angles

That new firmware means so much to me...just wow.
If I get my ylod repaired once more, and get a new ps3, transferring all my copy protected saves like rock band 2 platinum etc.

yea but that was becuz i didnt inform my skybox in time about the replacement and amazon didnt put any docmentation stating it was a replacement, thats the only reason i ended up payin again

Yeah I find myself using my ps3 more for streaming stuff from my pc than actual games hehe. That should change soon once exams done :p

only thing that needs correcting was the turrets, i think team fortress had it 1st but not sure how many u can hav up etc since i never got to play team fortress

Meh the only thing that was different with KZ2 at the time was the dynamic multiplayer really.

The mobile gun turret was done years ago in Team Fortress, it's implementation in KZ2 not that much different. I do like how you can upgrade your turrets in Team Fortress to do more damage.

Multiplayer respawn, while those grenades added a twist to the game it's not that new. Take the first battlefield bad company, you could spawn on your squadmates. Also in team fortress you could put down mobile teleports which effectively allowed your team to teleport anywhere on the map. Of course the teleports could be destroyed and also repaired. If we look at pc games, good old Battlefield 2142 has a squad beacon you can put on the ground. It allows anyone on your squad to drop from the sky in a mobile pod which is useful considering how huge the BF maps are.

The first person cover was cool, but I was disappointed that it wasn't included online thus I didn't find it all that. I know it was due to online game pacing etc., still I am sure a developer will implement this online succesfully sometime in the future.

Overall Killzone 2 is a good game but I don't find it groundbreaking.
