Just saying hi to all the Play station gamers.

Welcome. Dived back into SOCOM myself last night. Forgot just how kickass that game is.

Oh how I wish Sony could implement a party chat system that goes seamlessly from XMB to whatever
mp game you're playing. It can't be THAT hard...I mean if MICROSOFT of all people could do this...

That's nothing to get excited about. All the 80GB PS3's already had emulation of the EE...absolutely nothing new in the article except now it is patented.

It's the other chip that's missing -the GPU - "Graphics Synthesizer" (GS) that killed BC on all the new PS3's. Until there is some news on that, then BC will forever be gone from new PS3s.

Quick chart:
The 20GB and 60GB models had both the PS2's CPU and GPU parts in hardware, so that's why they have near 100% compatibility.
The 80GB model has the PS2's GPU in hardware, but the EE is emulated. 80-90% Compatibility.
All the newer ones lack both parts - 0% compatibility.

the AMERICAN game is OUT it came out tuesday, if he getting his july month end then it will be the regular edition. The first run was upgraded to Limited Edition for the same price, he probably take chain up with the burn copy being japanese (but it works on NTSC-J and U with english).
